Toyline alicorns vs normal ponies

I find it funny, yet a bit strange that when Princess Skyla is mentioned, everybrony knows who she is, in spite of her being a toyline exclusive pony. But if a common unicorn for example, Star Dreams, is mentioned no one whows who the bloody buck that is.

Do alicorns- even toyline exclusives- get more recognition than normal ponies? Is this fair, given their toyline exclusivity? What are people's thoughts on this?

To be fair, her being an alicorn makes her an instant stand-out. Second, she appeared shortly after Canterlot Wedding, and her being mostly of a darker shade of Cadance doesn't spark coincidence either

I like them. I want more of Gold Lily and Flurryheart. Not to mention more of new unipeg characters period. Or at least I hope we'll get some if G5 rolls around, preferably with new horsey molds.
