"um... i hypothesis that we hit the ground at about a 20 Degrees slant going about 45 miles per hour or so... by the way, that was exhilarating! I've never gone that fast before!" Dawna said her hear beating out of her chest. she no longer felt nervous around other ponies something about shadow made her feel brave. brave for him.

''That was amazing...'' Said Shadow as Smiling. Shadow Winked at Dawna. Shadow scooted Over to Dawna. He began to blush. ''I..Lo..Lov..'' Said Shadow as trying to let the words out of his mouth. ''I love you...'' Said Shadow Finally as Shadow's Face turned Bright Red and Shadow Hugged Dawna.

Dawna looked at Shadow in shock as he spoke those words to her. "i love you too" she said blushing. the world around her was spinning and laughing in a world that she never once new before.

Shadow broke the hug. And Grabbed Dawna's face. And without thinking Shadow Began to kiss Dawna.

She had to admit, midnight did look unusual, but living in the Everfree Forest, you'd see just about everything, "So, what brings you here?" Franconia said happy to finally see another pony!

midnight looked down, "well, i kinda came out here just to let everything out, a chan...i mean pony can only hold so much."

Dawna's eyes opened wide as she was pulled forwards. surprise filled her heart and her ears flung back as she worried about what to do. she had never kissed anyone before."do i close my eyes?" she thought silently. instantly she shut her eyes and hoped for the best.

Shadow was embarrassed. He quickly stopped the kiss and his blush was a very bright red. ''Umm... Sorry.. It's just...Err... Umm...I sort of couldn't resist.'' Said Shadow as rubbing his mane.

"What's troubling you?" It's not everyday she acted like a therapist...but she was starved for attention.

midnight sighed, "dont you see my body?" he stepped into the light, "i-im a changeling....people are scared of me."

"Well I haven't seen too many people,so I don't know what the "norm is" As far as I'm concern, you're the first person I've seen in years." she hung her head low tearing a little.

I-I made a sole promise to myself that I'd never see another pony again after-" Franconia trailed off and choked up a little, the memory was coming back to her, after she tried to hard to repress it.

"I-I don't wanna talk about it..." She turned away trying not to let him see her cry.

midnight tilted his head changed into his normal pony form and walked around to face her, "i wont press you, im just curious and want a friend."

Franconia couldn't ignore that. For she too was starving for a friend. So despite her better judgement she decided to tell the tale.

 

"About 3 years ago I watch my parents die from a rock avalanche, ever since then I promised I'd never see another pony again." She wasn now crying. It happen so long ago, but the pain is still fresh.

midnight sighed and nuzzled crystal softly, "im sorry to hear that," he smiled, "i lost everything i knew when i was changed, nopony wanted to speak to me at all, all my things were taken, my house torched," he shrugged, "ponies do not like changelings."

midnight transformed back, "this." he had fangs, holes in his hooves, a short mane and tail, a horn, and insect like wings, "its not like i WANTED this, i was forced into it."

"Oh, my that is different!" Franconia blinked, but you don't seem that hideous to me" she tried to sound reassuring, but she wasn't sure she was doing a good job. she honestly didn't think she was as ugly as she thought she was and she wanted Midnight to see that.
