Video Games based off of Stephen King's books

Do you think they could make games based off of Stephen King's books, particularly The Stand and the Dark Tower series?

I would love to see a videogame adaptation of The Shining done in a similar style to that of Maniac Mansion 

 

 

Or maybe an "IT" adaptation in the traditional  side-scrolling beat-em-up fashion. pick from one of the 7 kids; could be like 4 player co-op; each kid having a different method of attack like in the Simpsons arcade game
