A bat's shadow RP (1x1 Rp w/ Maple Bat)

Shadow nodded and placed the bottle of apple cider in front of Maple. He sat down thinking about what he had left. He had some poison, sleeping drugs, a very little of a truth serum, and a lot of a chemical that makes the pony susceptible to suggestions. He got up and said, "I'm going to get some rest, I have some stuff planned for tomorrow." Then he headed up the stairs.

"Alright. I think I'll get some rest too" she said after drinking a bit of the cider "Flying that far is really tiring .Could have used a portal but I figured I could use the exersise since I..." She looked at her bruise "Missed out on training."

Shadow opened his door to find a box on it. He was too tired to even care about it, so he tossed it on the ground and climbed into bed. He laid his head down and thought about it, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something, either he was forgetting something, or someone was keeping something important from him. After a few minutes, he fell asleep.

Maple stayed awake for another hour after Shadow left, she had finished her drink and decided that nothing interesting was gonna happen so she went to her room and started to send her family a message but fell asleep before she sent it.

Shadow dreamt that he was in the void from when he got hit with the blast, but this time it was the dead. He rolled around on his bed, until the bolted upright sweating. He wiped it off and went into a portal that led to the area with the dangerous artifacts, and he made sure to close the portal he walked over to the cage and started trying to have a conversation with it.

Maple was dreaming of how successful she had become. She was a hero seen by many as an inspiration. She found this funny as just before she had been dreaming of how much she hated having such a scary appearance and how hard it was to make friends. "Thanks Luna." She said in her sleep.

Shadow jolted awake and looked around to see artifact surrounding him. He shook his head and left. He got his paper and sat down at the table with a bottle. As he was reading, he read four titles: "Chef accused of poison, 5 ponies dead", "Massive panic at party, ponies scream about Nightmare Moon is back", and "Prank at reunion gone bad, pony ran out of town". One caught his attention, "Soup accident, dragon judge in critical condition." He slammed the bottle on the table and swore. It wasn't supposed to go that way. He stared out the window at the night sky.

The slam of his bottle and woke up. "Uggh..." She rolled over trying to back to sleep but she was never able to go back to sleep after she woke up She got up and stretched a bit. "Shadow? Is something wrong?" She yelled.

Shadow sighed and said, "It's fine, just the contest didn't go the way I wanted it to go, and the judge got hurt, but the other three went the way I thought they would." He got up and walked outside to watch the sunrise while drinking.

Maple yawned and stretched again. "It's alright. It was probably the dragons doing something stupid with it. They're just so reckless all the time because they think nothing can hurt them." She rolled her eyes spike was a good example of a dragon who wasn't that way but at least 90% of the dragons she's encountered made terrible choices which led to their swift end.

Shadow said as he placed the bottle on the step, "actual, he tripped and landed in the soup that I made. If anyone finds out that I made it, the reputation will be completely ruined. Dragons can handle it, but he knocked it into his eyes, which is vulnerable."

Maple shook her head "That's a bit unfair. I mean it's not your fault he fell in it and you really can't trace him falling in it back to you. However even so they'll still pin the blame on you so I guess that makes sense.

Shadow got up and said as he stepped into the house, "Only if the pony talks, that he hired me to cook it." He walked into his room and got into his suit. He grabbed a cane that had a small skull on the top of the cane, then he headed down the stairs.

"Where are you off to?" She asked honestly not caring too much, She had to head back to canterlot to test the new recruits and make sure they where ready to join the guard but her appearance as their mentor was optional.

Shadow switched his fedora to a top hat and said, "I have an appointment with some business ponies to discuss other stuff that might change Equestria for the better. I' going to drop by the hospital, if I can." He opened a portal and stepped through.

"Alright good luck with that then." She said as he stepped through "Got my own stuff I need to do anyways. See ya later." She left to go put one her armor before heading out the door. She went to canterlot to watch the recruits shadow had trained yesterday.

Shadow sat down in the at the table in the hall and checked his watch that was part of the suit. When the other business ponies came in, he stood up and said, "Shall we get this started. First off, the one in charge is dead, as you can read about it."

Maple watched the recuits they where fine bat ponies average level at best. What really caught her attention though was the earth pony. He was significantly better than the others. Guess negating my magic did inspire him to be better She thought Well done earth pony.

After the meeting and a making a few holes in the wood, Shadow bowed to the others and left. He headed to the hospital. He slipped into the room that the dragon was in. When he slipped in, the dragon said, "Who's there?"

Shadow said, "Came to see how you're doing."

The dragon sighed and said, "Shadow, of course, it would be you."

Maple went to go find the earth pony after he proved himself. "Hey I saw your performance out there you did great."

The pony looked at her astonished "Th....Thank you Captain." He said saluting "I'm happy to serve." Hearing the second part made Maple smile

Shadow patted the dragon on the shoulder, and he walked out of the hospital. He picked up an apple from a market and ate it as he walked through town, then he decided to soak in some lava or something close to it. He opened a portal and landed next to a lava pit, confusing the dragons around him. He opened a portal and pulled out a mannequin, then he took his clothes out and walked into the lava.

Maple finished introduction to the recruits showing them the layout of the grounds, the guards quarters and the most important one, The mess hall. After that she gave them their beginning set of armor. Welcoming them to the Guard. When she finished that she waved a hoof good bye and opened a portal to the spa in Ponyville. She really need a break given all that's happened.

As Shadow was relaxing in the lava as it got under his scales and loosened his muscles, a dragon splashed him. He glared at the dragon and said, "Knock it off, or I'll hurt you." When the dragon splashed him again, Shadow lunged at him and took him under the lava. He was thrown out, but not before taking one of the dragon's teeth. He placed in the suit's pocket and ran at the dragon.

After about an hour at the spa Maple had a few things in ponyville she needed to do. She visited Fluttershy to say hi and tell her what's been happening, Then went to Raritys to get a dress made for later use. She realized shadow was probably back by now. Opening a portal and waving by to rarity she went back to the house.

After Shadow was done soaking and fighting. He got into his clothes and headed back home. He was pretty beaten up, a cut on his lip, an eye swollen, his clothes had a few cuts, but he was glad that he won and got a prize out of it. He opened a portal and stepped through. He placed his trampled tophat on the rack and tossed the tooth on the table, then went to the upstairs' bathroom to wash off and get stuff done.
