A transfer to 1.12: why it shouldn't be hard

Commands have changed little, the only thing that won't work is bad syntax.
Gameplay has added but one mob, similar to 1.10>1.11
All the other gameplay changes just add more decorative blocks.

And finally, Bungeecord 1.8<----->1.12 already exists and Hypixel is using it.

It can take a while to update the server because of command and plugin compatibility. Probably they are not going to bother updating the server until the next set of bug fix updates come out for Minecraft as those updates are usually released a couple of weeks to months after the major update comes out. So because it's a long process to re-make all the plugins it's simply not going to be worth it if they are half way through the new plugins and they have to start all over again because of 1.12.2 being released. Also Frumple's MRT Minecraft server won't get updated until around 6 months after a major update has been released and that timer will be reset if a major update comes out less than 6 months after the last. Like the server never was on Minecraft 1.9 as they didn't update the server from 1.8 until around 6 months after 1.10 was released. The server was updated to 1.11.2 back in March of this year and it's probably going to stay on that Minecraft version until December this year. I'm just trying to set an example of sometimes how long it takes for servers to be updated sometimes. :)
