Jinx couldn't help but purr in amusement at how well-behaved the kits were when they weren't assaulting defenseless fighters.

At her own introduction, she swayed her tail on the ground. "Yes, I am your aunt," she declared, quite proud of the fact.

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

All four kits looked little unsure first, but eventually Snowkit stepped forward to greet Jinx "Hi" she smelled Jinx "You don't smell like any of the clans". Meanwhile Firekit and Ashkit had sneaked behind Jinx and were playfully hitting her tail, and Birchkit was still quietly sitting next to his father.

"Well, I'm not exactly from the forest," Jinx explained. "I have a home of my own, like you seem to here."

She noticed the kits behind her batting at her tail, and purred as she started swaying it around for them.

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

"So you're either a loner or a kittypet?" Snowkit asked curiously "Wait, don't tell.." she started scanning Jinx with her eyes, looked at the black she-cat who had came to watch the interaction, and turned back at Jinx "....you're a kittypet?" Her tone was genuinely curious, and it was obvious she wanted to know if her guess was right..

Meanwhile Firekit and Ashkit started playfully jumping at Jinx's tail when she started moving it, and Birchkit still didn't move, only turned his head a little bit to observe Firekit and Ashkit, looking almost like he was looking after them, guarding them.

"That's the word cats around here keep using, but yes," Jinx explained, still swaying her tail around for the kits behind her to play with. "Though I'm the one in charge. The humans give me everything I want and treat me like their better. Which I am," she added with a proud purr.

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

"Humans?" Snowkit asked confused, but before Jinx could answer, both Slumberfur and the black she-cat meowed in unison "Twolegs" and Snowkit jumped a little due her not expecting it, "Oh, aright." She then focused back to Jinx "They give you everything?" "That sounds really boring.". The other kits kept doing what they were already doing.

"Not at all," Jinx purred, raising her chin and sticking out her chest. "I'm basically their master. Though I do occasionally go out and do a few things for myself. A little hunting here and there."

Of course Slumberfur would know she was telling a half-truth with that, given how she occasionally stole fish from Riverclan's territory.

Snowkit wasn't convised, "It still sounds boring to me" "Though I guess cats can like different things. " she then licked her paw dismissively, challenging Jinx's pride.  

Slumberfur just rolled his eyes at Jinx's reply, and the other kits still continued doing the same things they were already doing.

Jinx's tail lashed next to the other kits, feeling her pride being targeted. She looked down at Snowkit. "Being the leader of your own home and having huma--twolegs to do whatever you want for you sounds boring?"

She raised her chin again. "Clearly it's something you need to try."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

"Yes, it sounds very boring." Snowkit meowed, "Where's the challenge? The risk?" Slumberfur chuckled quietly, Birchkit rolled his eyes, and Firekit and Ashkit still kept playing with Jinx's tail. 

Slumberfur then meowed "Don't take it personally"

Jinx huffed and lashed her tail again, unknowingly providing some more fun for the kits behind her. Just because her life was easy didn't mean it was boring.

She looked aside to Slumberfur. "I'd say I've faced enough challenge and risk in the last few days."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

Slumberfur purred "Maybe, maybe not, doesn't matter, Snowkit wants more." Snowkit didn't seem to be sure if it was praise or if Slumberfur thought it was a bad thing. Slumberfur purred again "She would make a great leader." Snowkit now got very embarrassed  and Birchkit went next to her, trying to make her not embarrassed.

Meanwhile the two others still played with Jinx's tail, but Ashkit meowed while playing, "Snowstar, it would be a good name."

"Trust me," Jinx grumbled, "she doesn't want to experience what I've been through. I wouldn't wish that on anyone."

Now that things were calmer, Slumberfur would likely have a better look at Jinx; she wasn't nearly as clean as she was when they met, her fur dirty and messy despite trying her best to keep immaculate. She also looked rather worn out and tired of dealing with being stalked and attacked.

Snowkit was going to say something, but Slumberfur cut in with rather serious tone, "We don't discuss it around the kits." 

Slumberfur had noticed Jinx's state, but he hadn't thought about it that much, because he figured that it was only natural considering that Jinx was a kittypet who had no experience in living in forest. 

[Unicorncob 5,692]

"Fine, fine," Jinx huffed, and went to try smoothing out as much of her pelt as possible. What she wouldn't give for a nice relaxing wash at home right now...

It was clear she wasn't built for such a tough life, and the sooner she could get out of the wild, the better, in her opinion.

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

Firekit and Ashkit in this point got bored to Jinx's tail and started battling each other instead, and Snowkit also walked away with Birchkit and the two started playing. Slumberfur walked towards the exit, "Jinx, come outside for a second, Mid..... " the black she-cat cut in "Yes, yes, I watch over them."  Slumberfur nodded thanks and padded outside.

Jinx looked at Slumberfur and just narrowed her eyes, though looking a lot more exasperated now. She was expecting another lecture and she was getting rather tired of them.

She padded outside after him and heavily sat down. "Alright, what did I do this time?" she sighed, expecting him to start nagging.

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

"Nothing yet." Slumberfur meowed, he kept a little pause before he continuing "We are not in Thunderclan-territory anymore, so I don't really care what you do in this point." "But." he looked at Jinx "Please don't talk about anything that has happened around the kits." He changed to more serious tone "And make sure you don't mention Flameheart around them, I don't want to explain them how their mother has lost her mind and is threat to everyone here."

Jinx's exasperated glare lightened slightly. At least Slumberfur hadn't dragged her outside to lecture her, so she supposed there was no problem with his request.

"Fine, fine," she murmured, nonchalantly washing behind her ear. "So what, do we have to stay here forever now? It's not much better than the last place, but at least there's more company I suppose."

"You don't have to stay anywhere, I can't help you to get home, but you're free to leave if you want" Slumberfur pointed out "But I will stay here until I can come up with some kind of solution for the clans' situation."

Jinx sighed. She didn't like this new feeling of guilt when she thought about leaving all this as it was and going home right away. But at the same time, she wasn't built for this life.

"It better not take long," she said. "I'm not built for this life and I'm tired of feeling like I'll get killed every moment of the day."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,604]

"It takes just as long as it takes" Slumberfur meowed as he turned away to go back inside "I just hope the clans don't get destroyed before that." 

Suddenly a familiar voice was heard (Flameheart) "What are you doing here!?" Flameheart then charged towards Jinx, but Slumberfur jumped between them, taking the full blow of Flameheart's attack, and the two warriors rolled into the forest as an angry ball of fur.

"I just hope I don't die before that," Jinx muttered under her breath.

Her ears pricked up when she heard Flameheart's voice, and went to get up so she could scramble off to hide before Slumberfur got between them. She then relaxed and licked at her paw.
"I'm washing myself and wondering how to resolve this quickly so I can go home," she mewed nonchalantly. "What are you doing here?"

Neither Flameheart or Slumberfur paid any attention to Jinx other than Slumberfur giving her a disapproving look after he had kicked Flameheart away from top of him, Flameheart was visibly angry.  "I warned you about bringing her here!" Slumberfur took a defensive pose "You are not being yourself, you need to snap out of it." "Snap out of it? Just let me to deal with that sorry excuse of an cat, why are you protecting her?"

Jinx just sat there and listened to the argument, just feeling quite confused now. She'd never interacted with this cat before, so what did she do to upset her so much?

"Would you humour me and tell me why you're so mad at me?" she asked, incredibly casually.
