Flameheart gave Jinx a deadly look "I should have done this when we last met." She then charged at Jinx again, but Slumberfur grabbed her from back of her neck and pulled her away from Jinx, before making his move and attacking Flameheart, he didn't want to do it, but he had to.

Jinx flinched a little as Flameheart charged her, but relaxed when Slumberfur cut her off. She sighed and shook her head.

"Look, whatever I did, I'm sure I'm sorry. I've never hurt anyone and I really don't think you can kill me just because you don't like me."

Jinx's words went for deaf ears since both Slumberfur and Flameheart were busy figthing. It was rather violent fight, and it quickly turned into battle for survival for Slumberfur, because Flameheart wasn't going to stop before she got Jinx, and Slumberfur was on her way. 

Eventually Slumberfur kicked Flameheart away from him and she landed lifelessly on her side, Slumberfur had taken quite a beating, and was bleeding from several places. He pulled lifeless Flameheart into the bushes and after few minutes came back alone. 

Slumberfur looked at Jinx, he looked upset, "I told you to let me handle the talking, Hope you're happy." he then just padded inside.

Jinx was startled at the outcome of the fight, and even moreso at Slumberfur's snapping at her afterward.

What did I do? She clearly wasn't listening to anyone, but... I don't...

For the first time, she wasn't sure what to think. Was it her fault? What did she do? Flameheart wasn't going to listen to anyone but...

She just sat there, staring into the distance.

Slumberfur didn't say much as he went inside, he just shared glances with the black she-cat who had seen what had happened, and for the kits he managed to mutter "Rogue" before climbing up on the roof and starting to lick his wounds, pausing now and then to stare towards the sky. The black she-cat meanwhile went to sit next to the entrance so she could say something to Jinx if she decided to come in.

Jinx narrowed her eyes as she came to a decision. She wasn't going to stay here and take all this unfair blame.

She turned around and saw the black cat by the entrance. The last thing she wanted right now was another rant on how she was wrong. She padded over to her.

"I don't want to hear another lecture," she murmured. "I got dragged out into this awful place by him, and I've been nothing but tired, cold, hungry and miserable, and I've been nearly mauled to death multiple times a day. And I keep getting blamed for everything that happens to me." She narrowed her eyes. "If you're just going to blame me as well, I'm going home."

The she-cat just blinked as she waited that Jinx finished "I don't lecture." "And I don't care what you do." "But watch your words if you stay here, because as far as the kits are concerned,  Slumberfur fought a rogue." she looked Jinx right to the eyes "And you better make sure it stays that way...." she got ready to walk back in "....because I don't have any codes limiting what I can do." she then just padded in and returned to watching over the kits.

Jinx's eyes widened a little, both in surprise and relief. She was expecting a lecture, but she was just told to keep to a story. She could deal with that.

"Fine, fine," she mewed as she followed her inside. "I don't even know who she was anyway. She just ran out and started threatening to kill me."

The kits had stopped playing at this moment, and were sitting together and wondering out loud why their father seemed so upset. Firekit suggested that it was because he had lost, while Birchkit meowed that it was impossible that Slumberfur would lose, and suggested a more accurate suggestion of Slumberfur being forced to break the warrior code, and Snowkit agreed that that would make more sense.
 

The black she-cat looked at Jinx to remind her to watch her words.

Jinx overheard the chatter amongst the kits, and raised an eyebrow at the talk about the warrior code. It was strange to hear kits having more understanding about something than her.

She caught the black cat's glare and rolled her eyes. "Yes yes, it was just one of those 'rogue' cats or whatever you call them." She then got closer and muttered to the black cat, "For all I know she could have been one."

The kits looked at Jinx slightly confused after her seamingly random comment about the rogue, but they were too busy speculating about what happened between Slumberfur and the 'rogue' to truly realize what she just said. 

The black cat didn't give a reaction to Jinx's muttering, but she did answer, quietly "Indeed"

Jinx kept padding alongside the black cat, and gave her ear a little flick. "I still wonder what I did to make her so angry. I've only met her once before and even then she didn't like me."

She gave herself a leisurely stretch. "Honestly, what did I do that was so wrong?"

The black cat made sure the kits weren't hearing the conversation before she replied with nonchalant tone, "Being a kittypet who trespasses on their territory is a good start." "Then add your cockiness and there's a pretty good reason to hate you."

Jinx narrowed her eyes, getting rather tired of being that.

"Yes, try to kill me over how I was raised," she snarked, raising her chin haughtily. "I didn't choose to not be raised in a forest, you know."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,607]

"They don't care about that" the cat pointed out "They believe kittypet blood is weak, and choices has nothing to do with blood." she sounded rather uninterested "But the killing part is not normal, though you probably know that already." 

[Unicorncob 5,694]

"That doesn't sound like a group I'd like to get mixed up with then," Jinx decided, turning her head to the side and licking her paw. "Besides, killing is a nasty business. Never done it, don't plan to do it."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,607]

"Didn't you hear what I just said?" the she-cat asked almost annoyed "I said the killing is not normal." she sighed, she didn't really care, "Though, you're right, a lazy and inefficient kittypet doesn't fit in with clan-cats, not that they would want you anyway" she washed herself nonchalantly "To be honest, you wouldn't fit to a loner or rogue either."

"I never said it was normal," Jinx pointed out, rather confused, "I said I don't like it."

She rolled her eyes at the insults and pointed her head away pompously. "I wouldn't, hm? And why not, pray tell."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,607]

"Why did you bring it up then?" "I didn't ask your opinion about killing."

"Why?" the she-cat repeated before answering "Look at yourself, it's clear you can't manage without your precious humans." she kept washing herself "And not only that, you also would most likely get killed because you don't know when to shut up." 

[Unicorncob 5,694]

"No but there's plenty of it going on around here, isn't there?" Jinx snarked, raising her chin again.

The second part made her fur bristled in anger though. "Hey, those humans need me, okay? I'm their master. And it's not my fault I don't attack strangers on sight just because I don't like the look of them."

The she-cat shook her head slowly "You're so foolish." "You're a pet, they'll get rid of you, if they ever get bored of you." she was quiet for a moment "Actually, think about this, if they really need you, why aren't they searching for you?" She climbed onto a shelf "And for the last point, yes it is your fault since its your choice, and that way of thinking is yet another reason why you can't be anything else than a kittypet."

Jinx's eyes darted slightly. That was a good point; why hadn't her humans been looking for her?

"Th-they simply just haven't been looking in the right places," she excused, raising her chin high. "They're stupid creatures, you know. And I don't need to go through my life fighting if I can help it."

[Catpone Cerberus 23,607]

"Yet I have seen plenty of them coming all the way here to search for their dogs." the she-cat meowed "So, are they stupid, or are you just less important than you think." She laid down, seemingly changing the topic. "Do you want know why I'm helping Slumberfur?"

Jinx opened her mouth to respond, but she couldn't. If humans were searching all the way out here for dogs... no, cats were just smart enough not to trek this far out, that's all.

But then, why was she here?

The black cat's question snapped her out of it, and she welcomed the change of subject. "The thought crossed my mind, yes."

"It's not because I like to help, or because I like the clans." the she-cat noted, "In fact, I dislike both." "I'm helping him because like me he understands the traitorousness of humans." "That, and...... rest doesn't matter."
