Toon4Thought 274 October 6, 2017 Share October 6, 2017 Ever since this movie was first announced, one of the things that has intrigued me the most is exactly how non-fans will react to the MLP movie. And although I did see it Thursday night, there were only like 8 people in the cinema, most of which were adult fans (no doubt because school night). I am considering seeing it again for this reason, but I figured I might as well ask what your experience in the cinema was like. Questions I would ask myself are: Would these non-fans be skeptical at first, and if so, could the film ultimately win them over? How big of laughs do the gags get? Any noteworthy comments from the kids (when I saw Rainbow Rocks' post-credit scene, I distinctly remember hearing a girl gasping "It's the other Twilight!")? Whatever stuck out to you, really.
shy0wl 484 October 6, 2017 Share October 6, 2017 I just came back from the movie in theaters. It was practically empty, other than two other families of their mother and their daughter. I was the only guy, lol (awkward situation was awkward). But I did hear some laughs from the adults (who I assume are non-fans just watching the movie because their kids want to watch it). Some laughs were a bit more than a chuckle. I don't want to say anything to spoil the movie, but I would overall say that I think it would "win over" some people who were curious about the show. It was such a great movie. But maybe I'm biased. lol
Prospekt 11,018 October 6, 2017 Share October 6, 2017 My best friend and I were the only people in the theater who weren't either kids or parents. The parents were quiet throughout the whole movie though the kids did laugh from time to time. Even then there were only a few families, probably because it was a school night for the kids. Halberd 88 October 7, 2017 Share October 7, 2017 Children were mostly receptive. Adults weren't very vocal.

Applejack1989 35 October 7, 2017 Share October 7, 2017 Howdy. I took my family to the theater. There were a scattered few adults as well as two other families. You could tell the adults were fans of the show and seemed into it. Kids were into it. Parents had a few chuckles, probably daydreamed about watching Blade Runner.
