applesjck 5,601 January 1, 2020 Share January 1, 2020 I like winter the most! I hate hot weather and i feel my happiest when it’s so cold that I can’t feel my fingers. Lover of all things Applejack. <
Envy 6,169 January 1, 2020 Share January 1, 2020 I can not believe there was a topic on this and I never responded! But it's probably already obvious what I'll say - Winter! There's no way I could say anything else where I live. The other seasons are all miserable. But it's not a mere least of the evils kind of deal or anything, I actually do like winter for what it is. The colder weather is so much easier to deal with and lets me sleep under covers during the night. The aesthetics of the dormant trees, grasses and other plants contrasting with the evergreens is just a very pleasing aesthetic to me. I love looking out the window when we go out during the winter. But the least miserable thing sells it even more. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are an extreme rarity in the winter, the bugs go away (except for as of late, where it is so warm during the winter =/), and the hot weather is much rarer. It's just a nice, calm, and peaceful time of the year. I feel like I can actually walk outside and enjoy nature, whereas during the warmer months that's just impossible with the overbearing heat, humidity, and harmful bugs. I'm curious to see how my opinions of the seasons shifts when we move Northeast where all four seasons are present and Spring is less Hellish. I'm curious to see if my love for winter sticks because it's something innate (like most people love Spring), or if I become more normal and appreciate the other seasons... Or if I just end up hating everything. It's a gamble, that's one thing for sure. It's hard to tell at this point if I have legitimate reverse SAD or if the disappearance of Winter where I live is just making me depressed because I really need all four seasons. I'm leaning toward the former. I think Spring would always depress me to some degree even if it wasn't Hell like it is where I live. Everything needs more woodwind!
