How many episodes should each main character get in season 8?

Yeah I agree! Rarity episodes are great, but any character with so many episodes in a row can get tiring. If they cram all the Rarity episodes in one spot, then that means less fabulousness for the rest of the season!

I think 3 episodes each. Including combo episodes.

Each of the mane six gets 1 "solo star" episode and 2 "co-star with another of the six" episode. Pinkie, twilight, rarity and Rainbow dash get a third "Co-star with another of the six" episode, so they get 4 total episodes with fluttershy and AJ getting three total.

Starlight gets 2 "solo star" episodes and 4 "co-star with another" episodes for a total of 6.

Go ahead, give Spike one vote all you want! Because that's not gonna happen 2 seasons in a row!  He's one of the characters that actually needs the episodes!

As it really turned out, Starlight didn't get as many episodes as we thought she would, and Rainbow Dash, again, got far too many more than the average Mane Six pony.

I felt Starlight got the appropriate number of episodes this season, especially because she had appealing roles in episodes not starring her.

Ironically, I've actually warmed on her significantly since my initial post here; season 8 has almost all of my favourite Starlight appearances.
