Gale felt a chill run down her spine, but she decided to fight through it. For now, the dragoness told herself that she was just having a civil conversation with another pony. “Huh, that’s interesting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen magic like that, though.” The dragoness then stood, stretching slightly as she move. “So, what brings you back here?”

Marion place her doll in her bag and said, “I was just picking up my book and a jar of cookies. Plus, I kinda heard a rumor about my home from fillies and colts talking around my doll. I'm sorry, I don't know your name."

“Oh, my apologies. My name is Gale.” The dragoness was somewhat embarassed qbout the fact that she had forgotten to introduce herself, but givien the events that had transpired over the course of her stay within the manor, that was understandable. “As for the rumor, I heard something similar before I came here. It was somewhat strange, but that sort of thing tends to happen.”

Marion said as she grabbed the jar, "Basically, the little ones are saying that my family disappeared without a trace and no one seen them leave. It sounded like they were making the Erie Manor sound like a ghost story." She opened the jar and pulled out a cookie.

Gale watched Marion, and raised a brow ridge when the mare pulled out a cookie. She figured that the sweets in the jar might’ve grown stale over the long period of time, but they looked as if they were brand new. “Yeah, that’s the one I heard.“ It didn’t take long for her to remember that fact, and she was honestly glad that she had someone to talk to now. “This is a pretty nice place, though, all things considered.”

Marion said as she looked around, “ Yeah, you should have seen it before this, it was amazing." She noticed that Gale watching her eat a cookie and added as she grabbed another cookie, "Do you want one?"

Gale thought for a moment, before responding. The last thing she wanted was to seem rude, so it would be best for her to accept. “Sure, I might as well.” She said, before taking one out of the jar. The dragoness then began to eat the sweet and found that surprisingly good, despite the long amount of time that it had been sitting out in the open.

Marion looked around and said as she placed the lid back on, "I can't believe that it's became like this in about 10 years. So where do you think we should go first?" She placed the jar back in and sat down.

Gale simply gave a light shrug. “I just got here a few minutes ago, so it’d probably be best if you led the way.” The dragoness then began to look around the area, curious as to what she might be able to immedietly find. “It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if this place was actally haunted, though.” The thought sent a chill down her spine, so she simply pushed it to the back of her mind.

She thought about it and said as she smiled, "Alright, let's check the basement, since stuff happens in the basement in the ghost stories." She walk down the hallway towards the stairs and towards the basement door.

Gale nodded and figured that it’d be best to stay close to Marion. “Of course it would be in the basement.” The thought honestly sent a chill down her spine. If anything went wrong, then they only had a few possboe escape routes. The dragoness then began to think about the mare that had only now made her presence known. Could she be trusted?

When Marion arrived at the door to the basement, she opened it up to see the dark staircase leading down. She was a but nervous what she would find down there, but she needed to know. She took a step and continued into the dark

Gale sighed as she followed Marion down into the basement of the mansion. She didn’t really see any way to start a fire without doing damage to the house, so she would simply rely on her senses. Having said that, they weren’t exactly that good within a dark environment. “Anything specific about those stories we should look out for?”

Marion shrugged and said as she got to the bottom of the stairs, "I'm not sure. The fillies weren't specific with the information.  She flicked on the light to see a lot of boxes stacked on top of each other

Gale reached the bottom of the stairs and looked around. It honestly didn’t seem like much was there, though she could easily be wrong. “Great. Let’s just hope that there’s nothing to worry about.” With that in mind, the dragoness began to slowly walk around the area. She didn’t worry about what might’ve been in the boxes, though.

The boxes next to Gale creaked and cracked under the pressure of the stack and photo albums came spilling out

The cracking of the boxes made Marion jump and let out a small scream. There she started to blush in embarrassment

Gale dodged to the side, barely avoiding the albums as they hit the ground. A few still managed to hit her back, but there probably would’ve been more damage if more had made contact. Out of curiosity, the dragoness opened one of the books and began to look through the pictures within its pages.

Marion quickly walked over and said as she started moving the pieces of the box into a pile, "Are you alright?" She looked at the book that Gale had open to see that it was pictures of her when she was young.

Gale’s thoughts returned to relaity as Marion spoke, and she simply glanced at her. “Yeah. A few hit me, but I should be fine.”. The dragoness then continuedy onward, feeling a bit more on edge now. It was possible that the crates could’ve broken due to deterioration via humidity, but that was somewhat unlikely.

Marion nodded and started to look around while trying not to disturb the boxes. After a few minutes of searching, she decided to open one of the crates. Inside were books she never seen before, and they looked like they haven't seen daylight before her time. She thought about picking up the book, but something told her not to.

Gale walked further ahead of the mare. She figured that she could handle anything that might come up, The drgoness then noticed what looked like a few old clothes. Well, she assumed they were old, but they did look rather knew. “Huh. The look noce, but I don’t think they’d fit.” She thought, giving a light smirk. Gale then turned and began to walk in a different direction.

Marion went to another box and looked around to see if Gale was watching. She wanted to know the book was. She quickly headed back to the box with the book and grabbed it. A chill went down her spine as she placed it in her bag. Then she opened the box up and let out a small scream as she fell away from the box. Inside she saw a pair a beady eyes.

One of Gale’s ear plates flicked as she heard Marion and could tell that something wasn’t right. “You ok?” She asked, before feeling something press against one of her hind legs, and she hadn’t noticed until it was too late.. The dragoness gave a light yelp as she fell to the ground and lost her sense of balance.

When nothing happened, Marion got up and peeked more into the box to see a giant teddy bear. Then she called out with a sigh, "Yeah, just got spooked by a teddy bear." She heard Gale yelp and ran of to see what happened.

When the dragoness finally regained her bearing, she could feel what felt like a fine silk around her leg. Looking back, it seemed like one of the sleeves of the clothes, a dress by the looks of it, had reached out and wrapped itself around her leg. “Well, that isn’t strange at all.”
