Marion looked at the dress and said as she nudged the dress with her hoof, "Gale, are you okay?" The dress looked like it just twitched, but she thought it was just some animal in the dress. One of the bulbs at the other side blew.

Gale freed her leg after a few seconds, and made sure it wasn’t too injured from the fall. “Yeah, I should be fine.” When the dragoness tried to stand, however, a slight pain could be felt. Her ankle must’ve twisted during the chaos, meaning that her movement would be slowed.

When one of the light bulbs blew, however, that did startle her a bit. “Maybe there really is something here.” The thought didn’t exactly help to ease her mind, but how else could she react?

Marion's body went cold where the book was resting on and she said with uncertainty as she looked at where it got dark, "Maybe it was just a bulb." Between the story and the book, she was feeling more scared of her home, but for a different reason. She turned to the dress and tucked it under a box.

Gale simply nodded as she tried to walk. She found herself able to, but with a weighted limp. The dragoness was essentially walking on three legs, and that was something that no quadruped found easy. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Come on. Hopefully nothing else is down here.”

Marion nodded and started walking to see if she could find anything useful to tell her what happened here. Then her whole body went cold. She looked around to see if something there,  but there wasn't anything.

Gale didn’t notice Marion, walking a bit further ahead of the pony. That being said, something about all of this was off putting. The dragoness then turned off the main path through the collection within the basement and down an alternate route.

Marion grew more nervous about the basement and decided to hurry and get out of the house. She sprinted to the stairs and climbed them as fast as she could. She reached the top and closed the door behind her, while heading to the backdoor. She saw the backdoor slowly closing and she slammed into the door. She fell on her but, while holding her nose.

Gale heard the door to the basement close and looked around, “Marion, you in here?” She asked. The dragoness then felt a chill roll down her spine The dragoness didn’t want to think that she had been left on her own, but that was quite a possibility. Not wanting to stay in the basement, Gale began to head back towards the door, trying to remember the route she took.

Marion got up and started pulling on the doorknob until it came off in her hooves.  She dropped it and stared at it with fear in her eyes, then she bolted for the front door. She saw that the front door was already closed.

Gale felt her fear begin to take over as she progressed through the basement. She had no idea what else was down here, and the fact that Marion had left here wasn’t helping at all. The dragoness took a deep breath, trying to control her emotions. Eventually, she found the stairs and tried to open the door to the rest of the house.

The door at the top of the stairs swung open.

Marion grabbed the handle and started trying to open the front door,  but it wouldn't budge. Her hooves slipped and she fell on her back, knocking the air out of her and making her a little dizzy.

Gale was a bit caught off guard by the door’s sudden movement, but didn’t really question it. The dragoness then walked through  not really knowing what to find. All of this seemed a bit too easy.. “Let’s just hope that she isn’t too hurt.” She thought to herself.

Marion got up and almost fell back down on her stomach.  She placed her bag next to the door and started walking around while trying not to fall over. It's hard while being dizzy, but it's harder since she is blind in one eye

As Gale made her way through the manor, she came into what looked like a large ballroom. The room itself seemed to light up when she entered, causing her to become wary her surroundings. “Hello? Anyone there?” Her voice was practically a whisper, though who could blame her?

Marion kept stumbling around until she stumbled into the door. She slid down the door and curled up

Inside the ballroom,  music and laughter started echoing throughout the room and the curtains started moving as if someone is in them

Gale’s ear plates flattened against her head as the music echoed around the room. It sounded like a piece that one might associate with the parties that might’ve been held in the room, but given the lack of occupants, that was what she found strange.

The dragoness then noticed the movement of the curtains, and assuming that a child might’ve found their way into the mansion, walked towards them. When she was close enough, she used a claw to pull them back.

A black face with horns and red eyes flew out of the curtain and disappeared as it hit Gale in the face. The music diedout and there was just the ghostly laughter.

Marion heard the laughter and decided to see what in there she tried the knob, but it was locked. She leaned against the door and thought about the book. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Marion opened her eyes and picked up the book and started heading for her body.

Gale’s eyes widened in surprise as the face flew at her, and fell to the ground in pain when it passed through her head. “What was that?” It didn’t take long for Gale to notice the laughter and lack of music. “Who’s there? This isn’t funny.”

The lights from the chandelier seemed to come off and started going around Gale in a circle with the laughter growing louder

Marion finally reached her body and placed the book down so that the doll could lean against her body and read the book.

Gale felt fear as she listened to the laughter and watched the lights dance around her. The dragoness had no idea what was going on, but she needed to find a way out. With that in mind, she ran out of the circle and towards the door leading to the main hall. “Marion has to be ok, if these things are more interested in me.”

The door was locked and balls of light chased after Gale, as the room started to get darker.

Marion couldn’t hear what was going on the other side of the door,  but she was growing more curious and worried about what she was reading in the book.

Gale watched as the lights followed her and noticed that the door was locked when she ran into it. The impact left her dazed slightly, orcing her to the ground. “Maybe they won’t hurt mem if I just let them do whatever they want.” The thought was unlikely to be correct, but there wasn’t a lot she could do.

Marion felt the impact on the door, which made her jump back into her body. She got up and picked up the book to see if there was anything on doors. She found some things, but they weren't going to be of any use.

The balls of light started to circle Gale again as it grew darker in the room. Then they started entering her body, leaving cold air in their wake

Gale felt a chill down her spine as the temperature around her dropped, and her body grow colder by the second. As a result of her being cold blooded, she also found that she was incapable of moving. Where could she go, though? An idea then dawned to her, and Gale fired a shaped charge of acetylene-oxygen fueled flame at any wisps that got to close. If anything, it’d keep her warm.

Half of the balls burned up, while the other half went into Gale and stayed inside.

Marion hit her head on the book and planted both back hooves on the door. She quietly counted down and kicked a hole in the door.
