Ok, I think I can see where this is going. Since the Main 6 are now allowed special someponies, DHX is saddling the siblings of the mane6 with their own relationships. It started with Shining Armor and Cadance, then with Big Mac and Sugar Belle, and now again with Maud Pie and Mudbriar. The ponies who are left are Zephyr Breeze, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. Is would be rather interesting to see what sort of pony Zephyr is attracted to, and if he's able to move on from believing that Rainbow Dash is enamored with him. But as for 2/3 of the CMC getting boyfriends....well....they are growing up. Way under dating age, for sure, but as far as "puppy love" goes, I think they'd be around the right age for it. There's quite a few directions DHX could take with this option, and I would love to see where they take it, if they continue this trend of giving the siblings of the mane 6 their own special someponies.

the CMC are not interested in having couples like the mane 6, they are always together, the romance is focused with the other characters no with the main, since lauren faust  leave the project, she made sure that there was no romance among the main characters in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. Zephyr Breeze is the only character who is crush on dash.

Hmm, good point with both Big Mac and Maud Pie getting into relationships within two seasons. There's only two seasons to go, and only so many episodes to see, so I'm not so sure the other siblings will find themselves in relationships, but you never know. Zephyr, Limestone, and Marble don't seem like characters the writers want to do that much with, though I'd be perfectly happy to see Limestone find a boyfriend, given her jealousy. Meanwhile, since the Crusaders are main characters, I don't think they're much more likely to start relationships than the mane six, or Spike, or Starlight. There's still a lot of sibling characters to put into relationships by the end of season 9, and since relatively few of the siblings are in the central cast, it doesn't seem likely they'll go all the way with this. But you never know.

mmmm............... i don't think so, never knows it. Limestone is the most grumpy and rude  she is not interested in having a boyfriend.

Later episode did not say anything. she was jealous because his sister Maud Pie has a boyfriend.

S08E03 "The Maud Couple" contains a scene where Limestone is obviously lying about not being jealous of Maud's relationship.

Well no, that theory doesn't really work since they then shipped Twilight with Flash the year after they had Shining and Cadance, so it didn't really start with them.

 

Though I don't think it's meant to be some plan to pair up each mane 6's sibling with someone at all.

that does not work either, flash it has nothing to do with this. if they were that, the fans would break their hearts. 

sometimes the romance with the other characters happens, no with the main.   

that's why big mac fell in love with suger belle, the couple donkeys too and maud pie with her boyfriend more less.

Hasbro clearly wanted to try and set up Twilight. It was right there in the movie how they liked each other and Twilight had an obvious crush. Creative only backed off afterwards, possibly due to all the negative reception it got, and we still had Twilight's Equestria Girls counterpart paired up with Timber Spruce.

The timeline with NM's proposed theory doesn't work if you try to fit in Shining and Cadance. Hasbro and DHX decide that they can't pair off the mane six, which leads to them creating Twilight's brother and putting him in a relationship doesn't work if that all comes before they then decide to try and pair off Twilight with someone in Equestria Girls.

This show was created by the same goddess Laren Faust since she leave the project, she made sure that there was no romance among the main characters in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. and is a friendship story, the fans will break their hearts if they loose her and them, that's why Hasbro and DHX decided don't do that. Hasbro know that this is about friendship by lauren faust and always will be. 

The timline actually not all relationships last forever with the same character, all relationships change with others and so it happens with the characters from animated show. as Mordecai had girlfriends like Margaret and CJ and broke their relationships to follow their own path, Drake and Josh too had girlfriends and broke their relationships to follow their own path, Pocahontas had two loves interest and follow her own path. Twiligth don't need one guy, she prefers to stay with her friends.

1. Lauren Faust is not a goddess, nor is she infallible. She's actually written some bad episodes.
2. DHX/Hasbro is not bound to Lauren Faust anymore and they have made executive decisions with Meghan McCarthy at the helm that contradict Lauren's earlier vision. Some certainly comply to it (such as Rainbow becoming a Wonderbolt), but she has been contradicted by the show before.
