As you know, the Simpsons is the longest animated show of all time. But what do you think has contributed to its longevity? Why has it had so many seasons?

I'd say that title is a little debatable based on how one defines a show. Looney Tunes had a 39-year theatrical run (from 1930 to 1969), not counting the various later revivals.

And I agree popularity is the right answer here, along with the crew wanting to continue it indefinitely. I can see it eventually having the longest consecutive run of any cartoon, unless some of the main voice cast leave the show before that.

Matt Groening and Fox are married. Well...in a sense. A good relationship. :dash:

Matt hasn't been with Fox for a while, Futurama's revival was thanks in part to Comedy Central and his new show is Netflix exclusive

I'm not sure what you mean by that...but it's Fox Television Animation. He did state a few years back that they had a good relationship.
