Give me some reasons why people make their beds?

I usually don't make my bed, you know why? (Drumroll) Because I sleep on the couch!  

I sometimes make the couch but rarely I see no reason to do so

The only reason I would make my bed is for looks. A made bed looks better than an unmade bed. Maybe I should make my couch for looks? I think it's worth a try.
