ManaMinori 4,149 February 20, 2019 Share February 20, 2019 (edited) Anyone find it odd that Thorax isn't the target of bugbutt's revenge? She calls him a traitor to the hive, and it was his shared love with Spike and his example that reformed with other changelings. Or why not revenge on Shining and Cadance? By placing a focus on Thorax she is admitting that her role and ability in ruling the hive was a failure. In her mind an outside influence had to be at fault, and that was Starlight Glimmer. Sure, she would still consider Thorax a traitor, but Starlight gets the brunt of her hatred because she took away the most important thing to her, her rule. Shining and Cadance defeated Chrysalis and her return and abduction was taking revenge. However, I don’t think she would be single minded against them anyway because she was defeated with love during the wedding, and Queeny understands that love is extremely powerful so it makes sense. Shining and Cadance didn’t hit her in her ego. That’s the unforgivable sin.
Goat-kun 2,532 February 22, 2019 Share February 22, 2019 Poor little vermin queen caught in the web of gods who have tried so desperately to empower their mistake. I am willing to bet 40 keks that if it wasn't Starlight who did the deed, Chrysalis would not have targeted that pony specifically. In the end, most FIM villains work the same way. They're all stupid lumps of ego and hurt fee-fees. Thus what Chrysalis does is not dictated by her character description but by the needs of the writers.
