Moments that seem funnier/harsher in hindsight

What are moments, details, or lines of dialogue from previous seasons that stand out now because of hindsight?

For example, in the pilot, Twilight leaving her old friends in Canterlot seems a lot harsher in hindsight after "Amending Fences". Or Twilight remarking that she can't fly in "Winter Wrap-Up".

Got any that you can think of?

I thought it was pretty messed up that Twilight Sparkle never told Moon Dancer why she missed her party in "Amending Fences".

All Twilight had to do was say "I'm sorry I missed your party, Moon Dancer. I was too busy worrying about the fate of Equestria." or something like that.

Twilight has a long documented history of overreacting. Moondancer would just brush it off as her making excuses. Plus, it could also have been misconstrued as her saying that her old friends weren't that important to her.

Rainbow Dash freaking about Starlight not knowing who the Wonderbolts as if they're gods are in No Second Prances. The very next episode was Newbie Dash, which ruined them even more for a lot of people

The Return of Harmony, it's kinda funny that the only pony Discord couldn't break with mind tricks is the one who was most involved in his reformation and the one he cares most about.

? All of them fell for it hook line and sinker. The one who resisted the longest was Twilight only because she gave up on her friends

Discord couldn't break Fluttershy with his manipulation, he changed her directly because he got tired of trying.

Twilight lasted longer because that was Discord's game, he broke everyone but Fluttershy hitting their own elements, Twilight's is friendship (magic is just the play of words with the title).

I don't know what you mean by that, but I don't think so. It was just a gag that pushover Fluttershy couldn't get manipulated. What I do think might have happened is that they deliberately used Fluttershy to reform Discord after their gag worked, but the gag itself wasn't made with the reformation on mind.

Yeah I guess, she was so dull to him that he thought that her being cruel would be an improvement.
