The reason we're getting less CMC episodes

Ever since the second half of season 8, the CMCs have been getting lesser and lesser vocal appearances, and I'm starting to think that maybe the VAs of each of these characters are growing up so they're busier with their own lives. We know Michelle Creber makes music albums along with her VA work, and I think she might still be in school, I'm not sure though. After all, in the second half of season 8, the CMCs only had the finale - with just Scoots having one episode to herself. And we're already up to episode 9 without a single CMC episode or vocal appearance.

 

With only Apple Bloom having a VA role in episode 10, and then having the final CMC episode in episode 12..,

...it just makes me think the VAs of the CMCs have been less available now than they were in the earlier seasons. It seemed like this was starting back in season 6, but season 7 was an exception since the main cast was busy with the movie.

What's also important is that we've finally seen Scootaloo's parents, and she was the last to have them revealed.

I even thought we were finally get a Pinkie/CMC episode at times, but I guess it won't ever happen, which is okay because they got something together in Equestria Girls two years ago, and that's still better than nothing. I mean, if I were a writer, I'd probably would have disapproved that Cart Before the Ponies episode and put one of those in its place.

While i’d rather that not be the case, it’s a pretty reasonable compromise.

And given what happened in the Last Crusade, being a bucket list episode and all, it’d be a pretty great send off for them

Madeleine Peters  is 23. Claire Corlett  and Michelle Creber   are both 19.

They've grown up already. They ain't little kids anymore.

Since we're wrapping up the series soon, it should come as no surprise. Crusaders of the Lost Mark could've easily been the finale to their story arc as early as Season 5, since that was the whole reason the Cutie Mark Crusaders formed, to get their Cutie Marks. There is also a reason they had the CMCs join the School of Friendship. Both they and the Student 6 represent the next generation that will take up the mantle for the Mane 6, so it makes sense to keep them under one roof. The finale is giving them as much story to juggle as it is, after all.
