Cancel cancel culture.

This is immoral. For the record, Zoe Quinn, his accuser, is the same person who ran a Kickstarter scam and was able to get the guy fired just on her word alone. :yeahno: Alec may have been guilty of something, but he didn't deserve to be driven to his death for yelling at his girlfriend and "blacklisting" her despite the fact that he's not even a highly prominent figure in gaming. Rest in peace to him.

Regardless of what did or didn't happen it didn't need to end with someone's life. Now things will never be resolved.

The only good, is that Alec is hopefully at peace. May his legacy live on.

Not only is cancel culture getting out of control, another thing I am so goddamn sick of (and I mean no offense to all females here), are the cancels sparked by women. All a woman has to do is make some bullshit false claim and they can sabotage a man's entire career. This looks like another example of that. Like Denim said, it shouldn't have gone this far in backlash but they essentially destroyed his life all because a woman said something about him.

Another perfect example is the ProJared situation. He wanted to divorce his wife, she said no. He finally does and right on schedule, she posted a boatload of accusations against him with no evidence and like clockwork, the internet took her side and she almost succeeded in destroying his entire career he had built up for almost a decade. All because she is a spiteful bitch who couldn't stand Jared dumping her ass. Luckily he came back with the facts and now people see the truth, but for a while there I was convinced that one of my favorite Youtubers ever was gone because of those accusations. Accusations that had no evidence and only a woman's words, which everyone proceeded to believe.

While I do think in some rare occasions certain people do deserve the immense backlash, that can open the floodgates to false claims or at the very least over-dramatizations. The concept of "innocent until proven guilty" might as well be a joke these days.
