Hello, you lovely lot.

I am an undergraduate student at Leeds Trinity University. I am currently writing a dissertation about the appeal of animation to adult audiences. I am a fan of animation with an ambition to work in film-making in the future, so this subject is of great interest to me.

As part of the research, I have created a survey about Friendship is Magic due to it being a perfect example of something initially made for children but has gained a large adult audience.

Apologies for the late response. I've been busy with other work.

A huge thanks to those that have responded. I've never done something like this before, so to see it go this well in the first day is honestly mindblowing. I'm also really happy you like the survey. Like (I assume) a lot of people who have made surveys, I was quite anxious while making it, wondering if I was doing it right, so it's nice to know that I did a good job on it. It's very reassuring to know that things are going well.

As for the offer to stick around, It's greatly appreciated, and I might do so for a bit to give the odd update on how things are going. I don't know if I'm going to become a regular once I'm finished with the dissertation, but you never know.

Again, thank you to those who've responded and filled in the survey, and to those who may do so in the near future.

Ah yes, I probably should have given you all an update sooner.

Basically, I'm happy to say that I finished and handed in my dissertation around the beginning of May. I got my results a few weeks ago. I got a 2:1, which I'm very happy with.

The results I got were helpful in supporting some ideas I had as to why adults enjoy watching animation (not just MLP). I'm very grateful for all the responses I got, as I would likely not have been able to write my dissertation without them (or at least, one that was close to being as good.).

I'm not sure if I'll stick around for much longer, so I'll just say a huge thank you to all those who participated and to those who gave me kind words about the survey/idea in general.
