Wow  I just randomly found this. And it's out in three months. I wonder if it'll get a real American release.

The first movie of this series came out 13 years ago!

Aren't these films remasters of the original anime series? I've watched original anime and the ending film and I don't remember some characters from this trailer

No. The movies called "Rebuild of Evangelion" are a new thing. It's kind of a reboot but a literal, in universe, reboot. This is the forth of them.

Weird, I've watched the first film (and a bit of second) and they're almost exact copies of the anime. I guess creators decided to reboot after the second film

The order is:

Neon Genesis Evangelion (the series)
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth (an unnecessary recap)
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (basically a new ending to the series)
Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, (the first of the rebuild movies. It mirrors the series in a lot of ways but you can see some clues that "all this has happened before and all this will happen again")
Evangelion 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance
Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo
Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time (not yet released)
