How Would Equestria Defend Itself With No Magic?

I suppose if they faced a threat, they would use the Magic of Friendship again, they would use the Crystal Heart to blast out that thing it always does and the three would become a part of the Magic of Friendship, or they would use the Elements of Harmony before King Sombra destroyed them.

You state without magic, magic of friendship would be magic so are the elements of harmony. Though if there wasn't magic, they do have spears as weapons Pinkie Pies cannon would have to mean without magic there would be firepower so I could imagine them being weaponized. Then again Tirek and Chrysalis without magic, wouldn't be a danger to them.

Via the classic and superior means of mechanized warfare! Magic has the issue of convenience, resulting in nearly every magical society having an initial boost in capability and power, but they stagnate and fail to progress against non magical societies where solutions are actually created, since necessity is the mother of invention. I can't say how Equestria could defend itself against the threats you specifically mention as there really isn't an immediate one, though if it were the whole world of MLP rather than just the pony nation of Equestria itself, then I don't think things from a world power stand point would change all that much, other than maybe the Stormlands would become a more serious rival.

Interesting things to note is that if it were for the whole world, Hippogriffs, Seaponies, Changelings, and any other creature that magically transforms its appearance would suddenly be stuck that way forever. Mount Aris would truly be divided from its oceanic inhabitants. Then there's the question of Discord. If he were to have been in the form of say a drinking glass, would he forever be stuck as that? Would he even maintain sentience since being so in that form is magic in it's own right?

The obnoxious thing here that I would choose to ignore, is the ability for Pegasi and possibly other winged creatures to fly, since they've been shown to lose this when their "magic" is stolen. I'd also assume that the solar moon cycle would fall back into a natural orbital order? They just wouldn't be so in sync, and weather systems would form on their own with everyone just having to deal with it like we do.

In the end, Equestria either falls to an outside power, or ramps up its industry and weaponize itself in a similar fashion to how we have since the 1800s.
