Today, I woke up to an AMBER Alert notification on my phone at 6 AM, scared the crap out of me. Hopefully the child is safe.

I have a doorbell alarm set up in my bedroom because it's also my office for when I am working. Last week during the morning, it chimed loudly while I was asleep causing me to fight my way out of bed and rush for the front door, which can take a while to get to. I rushed because sometimes it can be a delivery for my brother and I was actually expecting something. It turned out to be just some guy wanting to give me offer to fix my fallen fence panels that got knocked over during a windstorm not too long ago. The bad bed hair and the fact I was in my pyjams didn't seem to phase them. Neither did trying to explain to him that I intended to handle the panels myself.

I would put up a "No Soliciting" sign. But like any other times I've tried that sort of thing, it is taken as a suggestion instead of as an instruction. Week before, somebody wanted to give me a quote to resurface my driveway. That also got me out of bed.
