Philece Sampler., a voice actress known for being the English voice for Mimi Tachikawa and Cody Hida from Digimon, Sabine Cheng from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir Beauty from Bobobo Bo Bobobo and the elderly version of Toph Beifong amongst many others, passed away of a heart attack on July 1st at age 67.

Another part of my childhood gone. Digimon was huge for so many people, and she played a big part of that. She was also Cody in Season 2. The world just lost their element of sincerity. 

Rest in peace Philece. May you legacy live on.

Okay, first up, I didn't know she was that old, and second, hearing about this just now is causing me to cry on the inside.

 

R.I.P. Philece. I'll always remember her as the voices of Mimi and Cody in the English dub of the Digimon Adventure storyline (save for Last Evolution Kizuna in which Mimi was voiced by Kate Higgins while Cody was voiced by Bryce Papenbrook). I also do remember that she voiced Sylvia in the English dub of the Viewtiful Joe anime.

I know her from Miraculous Ladybug and that’s all I need to know. She brought quality and humanity to her voice work as Sabine and for that I’m grateful. God bless you, Philece.
