A Scattered Story Of my Beloved Pony

Hi there, I'm here to discuss issues I'm having with my character Ecnolancer, mostly with trying to make a believable or acceptable backstory or history. I love my creation and I would wish for him to outshine everything but even I don't really find it socially acceptable. I'd like to start by going over two stories I have come up with for the beginning of Ecnolancer's life. Both start out with the battle of Celestia and Luna fending off Discord. In a struggle between the magic powers of the three their magic collides into an essence of life (life being just that Harmony and Discord) and the result is an infant Alicorn. All three are astonished, but Discord makes the first move. Raising the infant up high he proclaims that he shall be Chaos and will bring all harmony in the world to an end when his time comes. Now this is where my story can split off into two different paths.

 

:PATH 1: But with Discord's proclamation the sisters find a chance to use their magic unopposed turning Discord to stone. Unfortunately Discord's damage to Ecnolancer's reputation has already been done. The sister's no not whether to fear the three's creation, and "not knowing" is a greater fear than any other. The fear drives them to turn the infant to stone and hide him in a chamber of the Canterlot Palace. Through the ages the infant grows even in his stone state and grows mentally by dreaming with only the memories of the voices of Celestia, Luna, and Discord. As his power grows the stone weakens until finally he is free but with only the knowledge of speech. While writing this I just thought something different I could do at this point. Upon being discovered should I let Ecno escape Canterlot or stay with Celestia? But for now the other way things could have happened if Discord had taken another step in his twisting of fear into Celestia and Luna.

 

:PATH 2: After Discords proclamation already deciding it would not be safe to not imprison the infant called Chaos the sisters tell Discord that they will not allow something like Chaos to roam free. And that gave Discord an evil idea. Laughing maniacally Discord makes the infant disappears into a rift. The sisters demand to know what Discord just did and when Discord can finally stop laughing he tells them. He had sent the infant into the future and that the sisters will never know when he will have grown or what he will be until it is too late. Discord couldn’t have been turned to stone with a happier look on his face. In the future a dragon couple unlike any other with kindness in their hearts enough love for all are frightened by the opening of a cloud of energy which dissipates to show an infant of pony kin. With such a mysterious appearance it would be impossible to know where he came from but they know if they tried they could raise him as a son, as Ecnolancer. I thought it would be interesting to have any opposite to Spike, a dragon raised by ponies, with my Ecnolancer being a pony raised by dragons.

Path 2 being my more recent creation is easier for me to remember and I have more for it but I know I liked where path 1 went but I can't remember what I did when he was discovered. So if anypony has some input for me please let me know because I need to decide which Path I should continue or I might actually continue both. But I feel i shouldn't but an undecided story for Ecno in the character archieve but maybe i can make a eperate character for each path. It'll be kinda hard to use somepony besides Ecno but I'm sure I could make somepony I can also cherish.

 

:Intresting things to think about: Wtih Ecno's relation to Discord he would be Screwball's brother. look up Daddy Discord [PMV] if your confused. Whick later in story as Screwball visits Discord tells her of Ecno's return and that he must go silent to gather strength to try to make Ecno how he wished, Chaos. ONe thing I do know is that I want Ecno to be an alicorn but not a prince. I might plan on making dragons have power of elements a force compareable to magic but harder to obtain which i would incorperate into a OC Dragon named Skcandoth, an elder dragon who retains his his trouble making from the adventurous days of his youth. I could just stay here and keep spilling out ideas new and old but I'm hungry so ciao.
