Breech uses an illusion to weaken the flash spell's glare and, after setting it to adjust accordingly as the flash wears off, cast it on his companions too. Breech also released the muffle spell he'd cast on himself and Starshift, they wouldn't be completely silent and those things looked like they could hear at the level of a bat, and cast his dark vision spell on Ace who probably was only able to see due the nearness of the cave's entrance and recasting it on himself and Starshfit, just to be sure if hadn't been disabled by the flash. Noticing Starshift's unease and alert gazes around the room explained how he'd learned how to use his mistake with his first sword to defeat the monster but noting his uncertainty that it was a perfect solution and advising they pace their preparations before moving deeper into the cave.

Starshift stops glowing as she ends the spell.

“Yeah, who knows if it might have a way back. But even if it did work with no strings attached, if there is one here, there may or may not be more. So, we still need to be careful.” She pauses. “Then again, when the dimension is apparently slowly tearing itself apart, you hardly need a specific reason to be careful.”

"I'll bet there are more but mabye not as many as one would think..." Breech began, pacing, "They don't seem like they hunt in packs, otherwise Ace would've brought an army of them with his flare..." Breech paused momentarily at the relization of potentially immentent danger, "They may not be pack hunters but that couldn't have gone unnoticed..." and created a half dozen sword clones, but continued to say, "and the fact they haven't swarmmed us already probably means they're at least paritally independent and rely mainly on themselves, that one didn't seem at all hindered by the idea fighting the three of us alone. Hell, he challanged us. They may live in small groups but for the moment, they seem spread out, but still..." Breech said as he made a few more clone blades and gave them an order to follow and guard his friends. "Friends...?" Breech was almost as surprised by the word as he was that he didn't even notice thinking it. "Maybe this is friendship... If so I'd better make sure I act accordingly" Breech thought with a mild conviction, "My life as an assassin ended when I failed in my duty. From now on this is my life whether I want it to be or not... and I do want it... so I'm damn sure not going to let some Bat freaks take that away from me," Breech decided, bordering an oath, "May Celstia grant her mercy if they try, because they'll find none from me."

Starshift makes an internal risk-vs.-reward assessment:

- The chances of there being clues in here are actually low, despite the sorrowsworn here being an uncommon occurrence.

- However, low is still better odds than they can expect most of the time.

- There could be enough to overwhelm them.

- Then again, that could be true anywhere and also there could be none left in here at all.

- They may have a better group better equipped to handle this later on, so coming back later could be safer.

- Time is of the essence, though.

Weighing those factors, she decides not to advise a retreat. Clues will not fall onto a silver platter. Danger of a horrible death is a part of the job description and she must act accordingly.

“Alright, so we know two main things that will work on them: teleportation and flanking. Unfortunately…” She sighs. “I am talented at neither.”

Starshift is beginning to regret choosing to learn Featherlight before learning that Acid Breath spell. Then again, would that work on these things either?

"I've never heard of bats that enjoy being close to light, or tolerate it for that matter..." Breech thought, curious to see what was over there. He wanted to go investigate, but an empty sheath on his back reminded him what happened last he acted so recklessly. Breech closed his eyes, and focused his hearning to try to make out what the voices were saying, also trying to figure out (by voice) if they were more Sorrowsworn, or something else.

Starshift re-casts the unicorn spell from earlier and glows once more. With her enhanced senses, she tries to discern what the beings are saying.

"This element will do nicely, Harvok. Clearly radiating with power. It will do nicely. I've only seen one power source more powerful than this, but we can't carry it through dimensions. We will be able to power the Chaos Maker and reawaken the Chaos God in this universe!"

It was obvious that they were part of Chaotix, the polar opposite of IDA, their goal to create chaos across the entire multiverse.

"Why in such a rush, Solemn?" Yelled a friend of hers as she galloped by. "Oh, just a bit busy, that's all. See ya around!"

Solemn's voice was full of nervousness and she was, no doubt, in a rush. Solemn wasn't normally so rushed, but today was an exception. She wasn't completely sure, but she had this strange feeling that something bad had happened. She rushed into Rainbow Dash's house, her best companion, to find it empty. "Rainbow Dash?" She called around town, desperate to find her friend. There was no sign of her. What's going on? Solemn fretted, pacing back and forth in Rainbow Dash's house. Surely this can't be good...

( Any ideas on how Solemn should find the others? )

(You think about it.)

"Rainbow Dash?" asked a nearby pony. "The Elements Of Harmony left earlier this week, Solemn. They were headed to Canterlot for an important mission from the princess. I thought you knew that?"

(That's what you get if you don't read the RP... ;) )

"....And the dimensional barrier that you put up, how effective! Especially with the fact that only the IDA are affected by it! Nice."

"Thank you, old friend. It will be nice to see this world fall to Chaos- especially in it's most potent form!"

( Sorry! Can you summarize what's happened so far? )

"Canterlot?" The young pegasus repeated. She turned to the nearby pony and smiled. "Thank you." Then, without warning, she dashed off, headed for Canterlot. Her wings lifted and she began to soar through the sky at a very high speed.

( You could join Solemn and help her find the others. )

Solemn Hour reached Canterlot in a matter of hours, as her speed was quite impressive for such a young pony. Solemn looked around carefully, not sure where to start.

(Okay, Solemn Hour, silverguard101, just so you know, you should go back and read what already happened, we, the group that started this, aren't even in Canterlot. We're in a cave maybe halfway from Canterlot to Ponyville. If I were you, I'd say I asked around town and found out the Elements never made it to Canterlot and seemed to have been taken somewhere else, you probably would've felt the strange energy from the cave so maybe you would've felt a kind of gut feeling you should investigate. I can't tell you how to do it, but please try to find a way to the cave quickly, we're in a dangerous area and would like some reinforcements.)

(Back to the story from my OC's perspective)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Breech listened closely, and while he didn't get the entire message clearly, he managed to pick out a few pieces. Noting the details of the Element, a power source in anither dimmension, and the 'Chaos Maker,' Breech thought Starshift might have a better idea what they were talking about. "Starshift, does that stuff about a 'Chaos Maker' mean anything to you?" he asked, then doubtful but a bit desperate, "I doubt it would, but, does it mean anything to you, Ace?"

(ok well im going to give this my best shot. if its bad just go ahead and delete my post if its stupid and doesnt make any sense by the way my characters name is Saavedra just so you guys dont get confused)

As Saavedra was running in a hurry he came up to the nearest ponies to him, he ran up to Ace and Breech getting ready to tell them news that no one would probably want to hear. "Hey! You Ponies over there! I need to tell you something and fast!" He then ran up to them as fast as possible almost tripping but caught himself as he stood there gasping for air so he could speak.

Breech looked at this new Earth pony who just came charging into the cave and wondered why he would choose to come here of all places, it was clear he was not fully aware of his surroundings, but still... "Maybe after we clear out those bat creatures we should hire some tour guides for the cave itself," he thought with an uncomfortable amusement, it was amusing to him but was worried about his earlier estimate about the hearing level of thise creatures and whether or not their location had been compromised by this new pony. Breech approached the Earth Pony and told him, "Keep your voice down, cave aren't very safe to be yelling in when they aren't home to dangerous creatures looking to kill us." Breech silently reconsidered that by what the monster said about them entertaining it for months and decided death might be among their better outcomes... "Lets just skip the whole 'Why are you in these caves' part and ask what do you you want to tell us thats so important right now?" Breech asked, annoyed but curious as to what the Pony had to say.

Saavedra brought himself together and composed himself and started speaking. "Did you guys know that the Ponies of the Elements have been captured? I'm not sure who it was but I think it was Rarity screaming for help with the rest of the others just screaming. Did you guys know about this? I'm guessing that's why you guys are in this cave?"

Breech stared at the Pony for a moment before plainly asking him, "Are you here to help? We're in this cave, trying to figure out why Ponyville and the area around here feels so unnatural. We felt a strong disturbance in this cave, so we dicided to investigate, and encountered some kind of bat demon. While fighting it, I used a basic teleportation spell on one of my swords," nodding over to his empty sheath, "and it didn't come back. I ended up using the same spell to get rid of the demonic creature we were fighting. We have reason to believe the Elements of Harmony are causing some kind of inter dimmensional disruption and are here being used with malicious intentions in mind. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ponies who used them on Nightmare Moon are here as well." Looking at the baffled expression on the Earth ponies face, Breech told him, "There isn't a lot that can catch me off guard right now. I'm half expecting you to be Discord in disguise just trying to mess with our heads even more." The thought of the Discord brought Breech back to the matter at hand, "This is the carelessness that got me detected in that mission, Focus Breech, Focus!" After explaining the current situation, and dangers, to the Earth pony, Breech told him to either leave now or be ready to fight, then turned his attention back to voices in the other room, readying himself for another fight.

Saavedra stood there for a moment, and then he took a breath and talked with a very calm voice making sure to keep himself under control and catch his breath. "Sorry, and no i promise I am not Discord. I am just as much against him as you are. And I'd like to help you guys figure out what the problem is because I also want to know what the problem is." Saavedra readied himself also getting ready for whatever he was about to face in the other room with these ponies that he just met. It was a good thing that he had been always training to be one of Princes Celestia's guards, he doesn't exactly need a weapon with his training.

Noticing his companion's decission and lack of equipment, Breech explained how dangerous it seemed to be to fight those bat monsters unarmed and offered one of his swords, "I can make mimic swords with magic if I need more than two, as good as they are, the mimic can't hold up to doing more than a couple of attacks or blocking one, so you should hold on to one of my real ones, better to be prepared in my expirence. They're made of a strong metal alloy and aren't likely to break, so just try not to lose it and I'll be fine," Breech finished.

Saavedra took the sword and held it looking at it for a second. Inspecting all the details of it and then got himself out of his little trance and realized he needed to be ready to fight whatever he was about to fight. "Ok, I'll take care of it I promise. And I'm ready to fight by your side willingly. Just tell me what to do and what to attack and I'm there."

Ace looked for a long moment at the unique newcomer, pondering his news. "Certainly not the strangest thing that's happened today." He thought while giving his head a slight shake, as if to make sure he's not dreaming. He then turned to the dark colored assassin. "Chaos Maker? I have no idea what that is, but judging from what that thing said, it's going to help them reawaken Discord. Do you think that by 'Elements' that mysterious voice means the Elements of Harmony?"

Speaking to Ace but not taking his eyes of the direction Breech expected an attack from, he told his friend, "I can accept a coincidence every now and then but this..." thinking about all the insane things happening in this area, "There is just too much wrong with this area for this to be unrelated. The Elements weren't reported to have made it back to Canterlot, the bearer weren't either, the area around here feels like something is wrong with the world itself, and whatever is going on, it's going on here and in this cave." "And we have to be the ones to stop it!" Breech had had enough just standing around, "We can't afford to sit still and wait for them to come to us," he told the group, "we need to strike before they realize out pressense here." pondering for a moment, he suggested, "Starshift, you mentioned a spell that could stop a pony's ulse earlier, could we use that or would knock us unconsience and or hurt us? I'm hoping it can help but either way,I have an idea. I could make a clone to sneak up on and attack one of the enemies over there, might even be able to kill him. I'll make the clone lure it here, maybe make it look like a hit and run style, then we, after we take up spots behind the stalagmites around here to hide, could attack however many there would be. It didn't sound like an army over there but we were caught off guard by one and it was because of a lucky trick that we got rid of him, so far," Breech added, remebering their uncertainty about the trick's effectiveness, "we need some kind of a stratgey."
