Does anyone think Derpy will return in season 3?

I've been searching through youtube like usual through all the comments on pony clips and have heard about derpy returning on season 3 with her normal name, appearance, and voice. What do you ponies think? Why, or why not?

Sadly, probably not. Hasbro probably wouldn't allow it due to the inevitable barrage of complaints from over-sensitive parents

I doubt that we will ever see another speaking role again (or if we do, it will be minor, like a crowd scene), but Derpy will always be in the background. I'm sure there will be more silly scenes like the bobbing for apples scene and the snow globe scene.

Derpy will always be there, in some small way. Though I don't think we'll see anything in Season 3 even remotely like "The Last Roundup". Considering the vocal minority of earlier. It seems to me that it's always the bad minority that ruins it for the rest of us. We can dream, but I think it's too late for that now. Even though Derpy is thrust back into the shadows. She will always mean something to those of us who valued her for what she was, and not what the ignorant few thought of her. For this reason Derpy will never die. She lives on in all of us who defended her when she needed it the most.

Wouldn't it be something though if they Hasbro threw a curveball at us and Derpy became a fully embraced character? I'm talking about like a Celestia or Big Mac type character. Not in the Mane 6, but with frequent appearances

Yea but you have to remember, none of the other beloved ponies have received complaints. I think Derpy will remain in the background but I think she would make for a good episode.

highly doubt it, but then there is always the name change back to ditzy doo!!, which i prefered more than derpy hooves!!, no offence to the fanbase, but still that's the only way were possibly going to see derpy again!!, yes that's the only way!!, to have her name changed back to ditzy doo!!

Honestly, the Derpy controversy was the only thing I hate about this show. The fact that they changed Derpy's voice to a generic female voice (compared to the adorable and, well, derpy voice she had before) and cut out her name really grinds my gears. If they do make her play a more prominent role (like in The Last Roundup) they have to have her original voice. If they don't have that, then don't even attempt it. She's not Derpy without that original voice.

 

Anyway, I think, for the most part, she'll be where she has always been: in the background.

I think that EVERYONE would really love to see Derpy talk again. But, if she had a bigger role than just a background pony, the soccer moms would rage out once again, unless they changed the eyes, and stuck with the generic female voice (which wouldn't really be Derpy, now would it?), then I don't think we'll be seeing her talk again...

She'll be there in one form or another, but as to how prominent of a roll she'll reprise, is anyone's guess.
