ooc Pirates of Equestria

Anyone up for my squad of modern pirates in Equestria? Sailing the shores, annoying the royal guard, skirmishing with rival factions and a tale of treasure that entices stupid pirates to their doom.

 

The story will start with me coming across potential shipmates in order of entry with my ship, and we work it out from there. We are respectable pirates: we only kill if absolutely necessary and we rob from the ones who have the means to pick themselves back up afterwards. Swords, old fashioned flintlocks and (just because I want one) crossbows. We can harm, but killing is only for the real threats. Actually I also want molotovs. Them too.

 

Further development on the factions and story will come in the OOC if enough people are interested. I wouldn't think characters are mega-important to relate to the story, but here is my hastily made one: http://mlpforums.com...ene-shores-r701

Sorry, but he seems a bit too amazing at everything. Immortal, breaking light/sound barrier, space travel, incredible heart strength and a DJ. The characters don't need much development for now, we'll discover individual talents as we go.

 

Also, I need to be the captain as I pick up each new member for the crew.

I'm not joining this RP, but I have a suggestion for you. You guys hear about a vast sum of treasure. Hidden in some mountain cave guarded by a great evil dragon on an island far, far away. You'll meet seaponies, badass sea-serpents, other pirates who want the treasure as well and also, a royal guard battleship on your tail trying to capture you.

Well that's all I need. A dragon would be a brilliant climax and having a battleship tailing us the entire time is just what I was looking for in terms of involvement for the royal guard. Thanks for your help!

That brigantine, but with less masts. I don't want to have to keep control of all them. Honestly, though, I know nothing about boats.

Meh, we'll figure it out at some point. I'd like to not go straight diving into the quest, simple raids first. I plan to learn about this treasure when we're in a bar on some shore leave.

 

 

Which now leads me to before we start! I'd like to have a unique way of picking each new member up, so each member gets a mini-introduction to their strengths. For example, I might come across Thundracry beating the snot out of a few guards when I'm docking, or he might sneak aboard my ship to escape them. After that, we move on to the next member. Sound good?
