Many places I want to film have restricted air space for drones, if you can believe it. And they are a bit spendy. But someday I’d love to try it. It looks like drones have pretty good range. My drone has a range of 10km (6 miles) I plan to get a newer one so I can take even better footage. 1 Don't mind me, just waiting for my pancakes. Clearly there's a lot to be learned about this hobby and I'm getting pretty interested right now. Okay, six miles is really good! I always thought a few hundred feet was the limit but again, that shows what I know. I was just watching a movie in which a drone was being used in a survival situation and I was skeptical because the drone was sent thousands of feet from its pilot. Now I see I was wrong again and the movie was credible. Your footage is exquisite! That location seems to have been put there just for drones to get classy video! The funny thing is, I even have a drone license, so you may need it too to fly heavy drones because the law are leaning towards the weight of an drone. 1 Don't mind me, just waiting for my pancakes. There are drones with a weight of under 250g that you allow to fly them everywhere! they even have awesome cameras that are able to record in 4k and 60fps. some of them even have obstacle avoidance that make sure the drone don't crashes into a tree or something like that, so maybe you could start with that Don't mind me, just waiting for my pancakes.
