A few days ago I traveled to Switzerland, since Switzerland is know for it's mountains and hills, I took my drone to get a video from one of them, tell me what you think about it, also, are here also some drone pilots? :coco:

Gorgeous footage! I would love to fly a drone and take some nice video but I’ve never tried it. Many places I want to film have restricted air space for drones, if you can believe it. And they are a bit spendy. But someday I’d love to try it. It looks like drones have pretty good range. How far can you send a drone from its pilot and still remain in control?

Yeah, sadly it's true about the restricted air spaces but I use a drone map and surprisingly it let you fly nearly everywhere.

My drone has a range of 10km (6 miles) :eager:

I plan to get a newer one so I can take even better footage.

I didn't know they mapped such things. Clearly there's a lot to be learned about this hobby and I'm getting pretty interested right now.

Okay, six miles is really good! I always thought a few hundred feet was the limit but again, that shows what I know. I was just watching a movie in which a drone was being used in a survival situation and I was skeptical because the drone was sent thousands of feet from its pilot. Now I see I was wrong again and the movie was credible.

Your footage is exquisite! That location seems to have been put there just for drones to get classy video!

Thank you so much! I love drones very much! I remember the first drone I had, it had a range of about 10 feet :ButtercupLaugh: but it was more of a toy drone.

The funny thing is, I even have a drone license, so you may need it too to fly heavy drones because the law are leaning towards the weight of an drone.

Wow, a license? I hope its not too expensive or hard to get. But if I can figure out how to get a drivers license...maybe I can figure it out. I'm usually not very good with gadgets but I'm willing to learn because I love cameras and filming stuff.

I'm getting hooked on this idea real fast.

There are drones with a weight of under 250g that you allow to fly them everywhere! they even have awesome cameras that are able to record in 4k and 60fps. some of them even have obstacle avoidance that make sure the drone don't crashes into a tree or something like that, so maybe you could start with that :coco:

One question:

How can a platypus fly? :sealed:
