My Little Pony rhythm game?

Hey guys! I'm logging back on here for the first time in literal years to ask a question that's been poking at my brain for a while now. MLP and, to an extent its fandom were a big part of my childhood and I used to consume a lot of related media online. I unequivocally remember videos of footage from a traditional rhythm game (think the classic four arrows setup, you need to press them in time to improve your score and pass the level, you get the gist) featuring songs not only from the show, but also remixes, fan songs, etc., and maybe even remixes of songs that had nothing to do with the show? The levels had the music with a PMV in the background, I think?

I specifically remember watching a video of a level featuring a remix of a Switchfoot song with a Twilight Sparkle-focused PMV playing in the background. I also remember there being a way to download and play this myself, which I never actually did when I was younger, but that's fuzzier so don't quote me.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I've been searching for it for a while now but I don't remember what the game's name was and all searching redirects me to the unrelated Rhythm is Magic. I could be totally making this up out of thin air due to a false memory, but the Twilight Sparkle PMV part is so vivid in my memory, I swear!

I remember there were a couple of pony FNF mods that got pretty popular a few years ago, but that's about all I can think of. I hope someone remembers what it was because it sounds fun!

MLP mods for Stepmania came to mind for me. I never personally played it but I have heard of it and I think that may be what you saw when you were younger.

Stepmania is as you described and is quite old and popular in the rhythm game community, with lots of mods.

A quick search gave me 2 results that seem promising: "Ponymania: A Stepmania Brony Project" and "TrotMania"

I think maybe TrotMania is the one you're thinking of? Here's a video that popped up when I searched for "trotmania switchfoot".
