1. So in the 80s, Marvel and DC Comics had their own 12 issue maxiseries each being a major crossover of their own properties.

Marvel had a then popular group of heroes and villains sent to another planet for the conflict in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars.

DC was celebrating their 50th anniversary by planning to wipe the slate clean and streamline their universe (Didn't commit to such, but that's another post or thread😋).  Only their maxi, Crisis On Infinite Earths features practically all characters created or acquired since 1938.

Oddly all the major characters, Susan Storm Richards/The Invisible Girl was absent in Secret Wars due to her pregnancy.

Her being absent for that reason isn't odd, but just that Crisis also lacked a major character within the maxiseries itself with Hal Jordan/Green Lantern who only appeared in the Green Lantern tie in issues.  You know it's basically if I had a nickel for anytime a maxi crossover omitted a major hero, well I'd have two nickels, but it's weird it happened twice.

As an aside, the Beyonder (Secret Wars) and the Anti-Monitor (Crisis) are the basis of my screen name for those who didn't see my post on why I chose Antiyonder.

2. Much more minor, but as MLP G1 had Nancy Cartwright among the cast, imagine Dan Castellaneta voicing a Pony.

He might at one point say "Let's all go out for some frosty chocolate milkshakes".

Edit: Finishing my comment.

Um, Susan Storm Richards' pregnancy had nothing to do with her absence from Crisis on Infinite Earths. She wasn't in it because she's NOT A DC CHARACTER. She's part of MARVEL's Fantastic Four.  Am I misreading your post?

When Pinkie Pie said nobody, is she talking about us or was there an oversight and they forgot to have it as nopony?

  • 2 weeks later...

Disco music didn't deserve the hate it got!

The MLB were not thinking at all with "Disco Demolition Night." Even funnier is the team that hosted it still lost because they had to forfeit the entire match due to the insane amounts of damage on and off the field caused by rock loving disco haters of that day.

All because one guy got fired and got upset over it. Fair enough to get upset when your former employer sacks you because of some changes they want to make, but no reason to spread so much hate over it. :worry:
