No New G5 Comics Announced For December 2024

The website Bleeding Cool has published a copy of IDW's December 2024 comics solicitations. For the first time since April 2022, there are no new My Little Pony comics.

It isn't clear how long the absence of MLP comics will continue for, but comic artist Natalie Haines has recently stated that she still has "work for both G4 and G5".

Previously, there had been MLP comic solicits for almost every month since the November 2012 solicitations, which featured My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic issue 1. The only exceptions were June–October 2020 (due to the pandemic), and March–April 2022 (just before the start of the G5 comics).

 

The current editor of IDW's MLP comics seems to be Bixie Mathieu. Reportedly, there are still new G5 comics being written and drawn. Freelancers have not been informed of any cancellations.
