I had this very crazy idea of what if SpongeBob and Sunset Shimmer ever fought. To be specific, this scenario would take place before Sunset Shimmer’s redemption

Spongebob's ability to take and deliver punches has never been consistent. Theoretically she could wipe the floor with him, or he could shrug off every hit like it was nothing.

However, if we specify that it's just Sunset in her Human form, I don't think she's delivering any winning blows, until we remember spongebob's need for water.

If he can remain hydrated for long enough, heck, even absorb liquid from somewhere and wring himself out over her so she's embarrassingly soaked, then I'd say that's a win in his book.

But she can just as easily use that to trap him in a jar or something. It'd be fitting if we pulled a switcheroo like when Sandy took off her suit and used a pickle jar to breath, but we'd have to ignore the caustic effects of vinegar on sea life for that to work.

At the end of a day, we have a set of characters that likely aren't able to hurt each other without extraordinary circumstances.

Well, SpongeBob is basically indestructible so he would win.
