Taste but not smell?

You've stumped me with this one.

Sometimes pumpkins have a smell to them, but that goes away when cooked, and I'm not eating raw pumpkin.

Some alcoholic drinks I've had just smelled of alcohol, but tasted like the additives, but that doesn't count because what I'm tasting is not the source of what I'm smelling.

The closest in truth was some kind of cheese I tried this summer. A food truck had these wheels of cheese that they sliced with hot knifes so it melted simultaneously, and added onto sandwiches. It looked so cool, I couldn't resist! Only I was suckerpunched once I got to the front of the line by the smell of belly button and toenail fungus? Absolutely horrid. I choice to give it a try still, and it did taste better than it smelled but still wasn't very good.

On occasion I've had sugar, just plain white granulated sugar, and it's smelled like ants? Rather bitter, chemical smell. We had an infestation when I was a kid so I squished a bunch everytime I went through the kitchen and my thumb smelled gross. I assure you, the sugar doesn't have ants in it, and it's not consistent. :sealed:
