How do you flavour your tea/coffee?

With tea I typically use honey only and occasionally milk, depending on the kind of tea. I think the taste is better than sugar. For coffee, I'll flavor it with anything, I like it really sweet.

Right now I'm drinking Yorkeshire black tea. Tried straight black tea. Gods taste was horrible.

If coffee is natural and good, I like it with some milk at 60ºC (140ºF). That makes the milk sweet enough that it doesn't need sugar, and also adds a bit of creamy flavor. Unfortunately, here in Spain there's still a strange habit of serving torrefacto coffee in cafés... In that case, I prefer to pour in ALL the sugar.

Torrefacto coffee is regular coffee which has been mixed with sugar and then roasted. That process makes it taste horrible (IMO), and it's banned in many countries for being carcinogenic:pinkiecrazy:.

I like tea with just water, I absolutely love herbal flavors so much that I'd eat grass If I were sure it wouldn't hurt me. but if it's some spicy variety, I like it with a little milk and sugar.

Nothing in tea, just straight up. For coffee I like a tablespoon or two of half and half (light cream) and that's all.

Someone else likes to live on the edge too.

Depends on my moods for coffee. Usually black but if I feel like it’s going to be a good day, cream and condensed milk. (Especially with good coffee). Tea for night with ginger.

Yeah, black tea is way too harsh for me to drink plain and I don't drink it often, but when I do it's one of the only teas that I do use plain sugar for

I only like mint tea, and to 1 cup I add, a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of white sugar, and half a cup of cream. Is it tea at that point? Not sure, but a bag was involved.

When we housesit at my parents, I'll make coldbrew mochas for my girlfriend. That's usually a cup of milk with 6 swirls of Hershey chocolate syrup and a cup of the dark stuff.

Recent studies speak in favor of drinking coffee (thankfully!), but it's natural that some people don't feel well after drinking it. Drinking coffee is the first thing I do after waking up. I can't work effectively without at least one cup of it :squee:

Wasn't a strike against it. Just a comment. Sorry if it came out reading that way.

I always use creamer in my coffee, usually flavors like Italian Sweet Cream, Biscotti & Pumpkin Spice. Vanilla & Hazelnut will suffice in most diners. Chocolate milk, but only if in a pinch. Sometimes I'll add almond or goat milk, especially after having cereal. I've even used egg nog. But what works really well is when I'm at a Mexican place and I get to add Horchata to a coffee.  Only use sugar as a last resort and I avoid half and half like the plague. The few times I have tea, it'll usually be almond milk and honey.

Go for it. Works well in coffee.  Heck there's even maple tea being made out there.

As I may already have stated in this thread before, I put half and half in my coffee and leave it at that.

What has changed is that I am putting sugar in black tea when I drink it more and more.

I have also started sneaking honey into my green tea.

I drink a lot of all three of these beverages, after all it's the caffeine that matters and they are all loaded with antioxidants.

But, I DO NOT need the extra sugar...I need to knock it off.
