An interesting update has been made to Gretchen Mallorie's LinkedIn profile...

https://www.linkedin.com/in/gretchen-mallorie-912a18111/?originalSubdomain=uk

"In her role as the Head Writer of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale for multiple seasons, Gretchen has led teams of writers through both simple and complex narrative arcs, bringing energy, surprise, and character depth to every script. She is currently developing the next iteration of the My Little Pony franchise, actively shaping the future of one of the most iconic and cherished brands in the world."

I'm just going to...let everyone make what they will of this. It is intriguing to me though how unlike Gillian Berrow, Gretchen Mallorie has never used past tense to describe her MLP work and she's even still listed as a contracted head writer for TYT.

Glad she's been given another go, though here's hoping Hasbro gives the next show a fair shot that I feel they never gave G5

Gretchen Mallorie made a comment on LinkedIn for the first time in eight months, a comment on a post made by Hasbro's former vice president of brand management and leader of G5's franchise team no less.

More evidence that Hasbro indeed has something in the cooker for MLP from a G5 creator's vision.

So does that mean G5 is getting a soft reboot? If so, then I KNEW IT! I have been seeing the signs!

Maybe, but I'm guessing not. This might be a brand new take on MLP.

Well, I don’t think that Hasbro is going that big again considering they don’t own entertainment one anymore. They’ll most likely reuse characters while bringing a new take for MLP.

Gretchen Mallorie recently updated her LinkedIn bio again to not outright say she's working on the next iteration of MLP. It now says this...

“She is currently developing original content for both screen and stage, driven by a love of story, character, and the irresistible power of a well-timed giggle.”

https://www.linkedin.com/in/gretchen-mallorie-912a18111/?originalSubdomain=uk

Oddly, her TYT work is still not spoken of in past tense.

Screen and Stage? Does that mean MLP is still not off the table for movies? If so, then that is a good thing! It means that she has a higher budget!

I still don't believe that the live action movie is happening however given that Hasbro still hasn't officially said it and no directors were announced, and given MLP's target audience would most likely not want to watch that. Gretchen can't possibly be working with that considering her background in kids and family entertainment.

Either way, I hope she has a bigger budget and can turn MLP around. Because I feel like everything kinda fell off after the movie. She is the only one that can bring quality back to MLP again, PLEASE LET IT BE GOOOOD!!!!!!!

I was on wikipedia for Hasbro Entertaiment and it actually shows an “Untitled My Little Pony series” for its upcoming shows category! This is basically confirmation that there is a new show in development!

Look a little closer, there's no citation for it, so I wouldn't call it confirmation. However, everything we've seen so far does point to Hasbro having something planned for MLP.

Yeah, I got too hyped. But Hasbro does have something for MLP next year, as of this.

If you can't see it, It says that "With a thriving fan community, fresh content on the horizon and bold new ways for fans to experience the brand through fashion, publishing, digital and live events."
