"I don't know what to do," said Rain stupidly, running her tongue over her pointed teeth. "I'll end up murdering you..."

 

The little girl laughed and the vines squeezed tighter.

*Just a little longer, Mr. Fear! And then I'm done with you.*

he turned and started to walk away .

"Ew. That makes it sound weird." Rain scooched closer. "Are you sure this is okay with you...?"

Fear was still in tremendous pain

Rain leaned her head in and braced herself against him, then slowly and carefully bit him, wincing while she did it.

 

Suddenly the pain stopped and the vines unraveled, revealing a healed Fear.

*Ta-daaaah!* said the girl with a flourish. *Better?*

"who are you?" Fear asked while he sat up

Shadow didn't do anything, as if he didn't really feel it. He just relaxed his body and let Rain do it.

[Mephala 2,635]

*That's for me to know and you to never find out, Mr. Fear. Now while I'm technically not supposed to pick sides, all that damage you're doing is really drumming up business.* She took the miniature chainsaw from the doll and held it up. *See this baby? It's collecting alllll the souls of the people you've killed. Boss is thrilled!*

 

Rain carefully started to drink. It was a weird sensation, but it wasn't as bad as she'd expected, and seeing Shadow relax she did too.

Night Hawk continued his patrol of this side of town

Shadow was happy he had gotten Rain to drink so she wouldn't be in pain, he continued to relax until Rain was done.

*Ooh, Mr. Night Hawk is nearby,* said the little girl *Well, he won't be too happy to see the likes of me.* She pressed something on the chainsaw and it extended into a full length one. *Well, people to murder. Ever need me, just call!*

 

Rain pulled away awkwardly. "I really make myself sick..." she said sadly.

"But it wasn't as bad as you thought though?" he asked with a slight smile. He looked obviously tired and a bit pale.

*You're welcome, douchewad,* said the girl cheerfully, the started to skip down the road, somehow managing to hold the chainsaw in one hand and the doll in the other.

 

Rain shook her head. "It was horrible. Not as bad, but I imagined it pretty awful. And now look at you. I told you," she said bitterly.

Lockhart was still there, a bit shocked by what just happened. "Uh..." He said as he saw the girl skip away.

She turned around and stopped. *Oh, hello, Mr. Lockhart,* she said, despite not having heard his name.

"Oh i'm fine" he said with a chuckle "I just need a bit of rest is all"

 

There was a portal that opened up at the other side of town, four people fell out of it a few seconds later.

Fear was still unsure what to do, she ran off before he could say anything, he walked back into the building, the fire had put its self out, he dipped his fingers in the blood on the floor and wrote on the wall outside the building "I DO NOT FEAR THE REAPERS"

"Yeah," said Rain quietly, then moved to the other side of the couch. "You must hate me."

 

Sebastian stood behind Fear and watched him. ^Cute kid, huh? A little sadistic to be a Reaper, seeing as we're supposed to be neutral, but hey, she's good at her job.^ He shrugged.

Shadow looked confused "What makes you think that?" he asked.

*I know everyone, Mr. Lockhart. Now please don't be snippy with me, especially as I am the one holding a giant chainsaw.* She shrugged. *Mr. Fear drums up business. Boss is happy. He needs to live.*

 

"Well, look at you," said Rain sheepishly. "I don't even know why you're speaking to me."
