I know how bad it is, but this is my first time actually using the tablet I have and tell me what you think for a first timer on a tablet

Honestly, it's better than my first go with the tablet :S

 

Keep practicing, it took me a good couple of months to sketch out anything good from a tablet, but once you get used to it you can produce some real quality work

What type of tablet? If it's a small one, I'd recommend you starting out on Paint Tool SAI. It's the tool I currently use, and it's smoothing feature helps tons.
