Usually I go by other names on forums and sites but I didn't see those names fitting me on these forums so I decided to go with Magi instead. The real name is Sam but I'll leave that side for later. So for over a year I've saw this trend continue to grow across the web as more and more people started to take interest in the show. When it was beginning to peak I arrogantly thought that it was just a new fad for furries due to what was coming up rule 34 as well as the fact that some furries I knew were changing in to ponies. That left an impression of disgust in my mind about the entire pony community in my mind. Simply think about it, something this cute and innocent turned defiled by furries, it still is a disgusting thought to me. Anyways, after a year of ignoring it I was very bored and decided to watch an episode just to see what all the fuss is about and before I knew it I was on episode 5. Ironically before I started watching the 2nd episode I watched a video of someone a boy around mid teens talking about how he got in to it on Youtube, it was a very rational and well constructed argument that led me to continue watching. Since I just finished watching the latest episode today I decided it's time to see what the communities for MLP are really like and so here I am! PS: For a guy that's 20 I got a soft spot for Spikes crush on Rarity, one of the rare times I actually had to hold back tears when watching anything was Secret of My Excess, previous time that happened was Toy Story 3. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nah, it's just that one of my nicknames is Sam, but I have a friend who's nicknamed Sam as well but in reality his name is Salvatore. Which is a bit conflicting. You know a piece of story driven media has done it's job when you're moved by the characters actions and reactions. Hell Mass Effect 2 did that to me, no I didn't tear up but I did feel very sad when I made a mistake at the end. Rule 34 does turn a lot of people off, and it's true that we have some of those people part of the brony community but there are many fans of the show not like that, and you won't see any of that on this site, since it's against it ~ happy posting, hope to see you around !! ~ Well yes I came to understand that once I saw some of my long time friends taking an interest in the show and I knew for a fact that they weren't furries. I agree, and people who rule 34 and are furries usually don't have the best mental health in my experience. Just watched the an episode of the Idea Channel about Bronies and remember this place. Decided to come back and say hey! And what happened to our chat box that we had? I missed a lot it seems.
