Sythe put the book on the counter "Yeah and let me say your history is a strange one like this discord" he said flipping to the chapter about the battle between celestia and discord "A lot different from möbius"

"Möbius? Sorry, I'm not familiar with history of anywhere to tell you the truth. Not even the History of Equestria... I might want to check that out now that you're done with it..." Breech said as he recorded the book and the return information. Feeling a bit nervous considering the last time he'd asked a favor from the hedgehog, Breech asked his friend, "Scythe, could somepony choose to become a Reaper? As in, is it possible to become one by... I should just say it. Could I become one?" Breech asked, carefully trying to avoid any questions Scythe couldn't answer, "From what I understand, you collect the souls of the recently dead, and send them to whatever fate they earned themselves in life. I want to be able to do good for others, to have some role that's important to other ponies in a good way... Something it seems like you do on a regular basis."

Sythe sighed "A reaper has sertin qualitys for one if a loved one ever died and you had to send there soul away you may feel the need to let them live and then there's kids when a childed dies you have to comfort them Becuase there scared they dont understand" he looked at Breech "As for you no a reaper is decided at birth and does this job until they die" he went to the shelf to grab another book

"Huh... Okay. I was kinda hoping but I had a feeling that was the case. Does that mean you always work by yourself? Seems like that would make alot of poni... err... well it sounds like it would make anyone lonely." Breech said, the realizing he was sounding rather depressing in a way that could really bother his friend, he altered the subject, "You mentioned you were sent here, and that Reapers are chosen, who makes those decissions? Is there some kind of council of Reapers that change as members grow old and die or is there a leading figure like an actual Skeleton in black robes like the classic Grim Reaper image?"

Sythe was a now a little eritated "Well there is death him self and he sends out the reapers and for the Skelton look no he is a regular guy" he took a book from the shelf and walked over to the counter "That all?"

Sensing the building tension, Breech decided to back off a little. "Yeah, I'm sorry, just trying to an understanding of the reality behind what I've grown up believing was a myth. I'm not trying to pry," he said before recording the books Scythe was checking out. "Alright, I think you know the whole late return fees speech, so enjoy your book," he said handing the book back.

Sythe nodded "Thanks talk to you later an have a good one" he said walking out the door not a second later he opened the book and began to read it "Hm Pretty good" he continued to read and walk until he didn't know we're he was "Opss better head back"

Night Cloud flew right in through the door of the library. On his back he had an impressive stack of books - mainly on socializing, philosophy and anger-management.

There was one problem though: He seemed to be sleep-flying, and flew right into a wall, dropping down onto the floor with all the books landing in a pile on top of him.

"Ow..." he manages to say as he sticks his head up from the top of the pile - clearly sleepy.

 

While yawning, he manages to say: "...The library is still open right?"

"No, sorry we closed at noon... Just kidding yeah we're still open..." Breech teased, "We're not all nocturnal dude, this is morning for ponies like me," he says while picking up all the books on the floor with telekinesis. "I take it you're returning these?" Breech asked noting the massive pile Night had been carrying on his back.

He yawns loudly while saying: "Yeah... They've been piling up, and seeing as some of them had to be returned today, I brought 'em all...".

 

He gets up on his hooves and staggers a bit before shaking his head and getting a sudden surprised look on his face.

 

"Wait... How did I get here? Did I fly in my sleep again?"

"Well... I guess you did... It must've been bothering you if you sleep flew this pile of books over here... Do you need to look trough all of them to make sure you don't want to hold on to them a bit longer?" Breech asked, then looking at a few that weren't even from the library, "Or to make sure they aren't your own books?" he said with a smirk, while giving him back the ones that didn't even belong to the library.

"Wait... Some of them are mine? Where did I keep them... I'm rarely at my house... And they usually fall through clouds anyways..."

 

He thinks for a moment.

 

"Well, now I know I have them, thanks! And no, I've read them all at least once - I think... I seem to do certain tasks subconsciously, reading being one of them. I start reading them, then it's almost like my mind wanders off somewhere, and before I know it: Done readin'."

"Well I'm not sure if they're yours but they don't belong to the library so there you go," Breech said, "Have a nice and hopefully collisionless day," he said smiling with a nod over towards the wall Night had crashed into. About 10 minutes later Twilight came back and after thanking Breech for running the library her, got to work taking care of the library herself, leaving him to go do whatever he wanted. "I wonder where Scythe went off to..." he wondered.

Sythe headed back to pony ville it was clear as day he wasn't in pony ville and more "Great going Sythe getting lost" he thought to himself "Breech will find this funny getting lost in a book and in the area"

Breech felt like going for a swim for some reason (OOC, I think the setting is in summer but even if it's winter he decides to go just because...) he heads over to a pond in the forest and along the way, gets distracted by an uncommon flower and bumps into Scythe who also seemed a bit absent minded. "What did I just ru... Oh, hey Scythe. What're you doing out here?" Breech asked, a bit disoriented by the collision and the suprise of seeing his frined out in the forest.

Sythe rubbed his head and put the book under his arm "To tell you the truth I got lost in the book and landed up here. So what about you?" he didn't expect Breech to be here then again he did have a way of finding him

"There's a pond not too far from here, I felt like going for a swim, just something quiet to relax..." Breech replied still suprised to see Scythe, but glad to see he was enjoying his book, "Any chance you wanna join me?" Breech offered, he didn't mind eiher way but liked the idea of going swimming with somebody else more than going alone.

"Uh no I'm good thanks I have this thing I don't really like to take off my hood" he stared to read again "I'll read by the pond if you like?" he didn't wont to reject his friend just because if his stupid hood

Breech smiled and shrugged, then said, "Alright, at least there'll be somebody else around. It can get lonely just swimming by myself, I'm guessing that's a really good book. What's it about? I like reading every now and then, but I'm not too familiar with many good books and when I asked Twilight's opinion... Lets just say she likes alot of books..." Breech was hoping maybe Scythe could point him a good direction.

(OOC, Seriously, if you have any good recomendations for Sci-Fi/Fantasy, let me know, I've been trying to get back in the habit of reading)

Sythe close it again "Well this is a position book about all sorts of ones I get board so I could care less what book I read I don't really have much to do" he say down at the pound and read his book for the day

Bubbles comes up from the pond just before Night's snout pokes up from the water. One can now see that he's floating on his back with only his snout above the surface, and (surprise:) he appears to be asleep... Again.

"...Okay, that's not normal..." Breech said when he saw Night asleep in the pond and having aparently been asleep underwater. "I swear, he's gonna get killed like this at some point," he said as he dragged Night's body to solid land, muddy and soft so hopefully he wouldn't notice, but it was solid and nowhere near as likely for him to drown in... hopefully... "Have you ever read, 'Of Mice and Mares'? I understand they wanted alliteration in it but when the two main characters are both stallions you... That was a dumb question, no you haven't read it, it probably doesn't exist in the world you came from... Just forget I asked," Breech said, then asked curiously, "Are there any particular differences or similarities you've noticed between this world and the one you came from?"

As most of the cooling water flowed out of his fur, he slowly woke up as the sun started to warm him up.

 

"Yawn... Who turned up the heat... Can't sleep like this..."

 

He opened his eyes and raised his head slightly. He could now see the two others there.

 

"Oh... Hello...You again?"

"Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing when I found asleep in the pond... I came here to go for a swim and saw you float back to the surface. Do you not need to breathe or what?" Breech replied when his friend woke up, "That pegasus is not normal, maybe it has to do with whatever makes his eye change color..." Breech thought himself, "Y'know, the pool is pretty shady over here, want to swim for a little while?" he offered, it was nice to have somebody else around while he was swiming, but it would be even more enjoyable to have somebody else taking part in the activity.

"Oh I was just sleeping... Too hot for that in the skies these days. Thank Luna there's quite a bit of shade out here in the forest... And underwater."

 

He gets back up onto his hooves.

 

"As for swimming... Sure, why naught?" he said, as he took two slow steps before suddenly dashing out into the water at a fairly high speed; Surprisingly without making that big of a splash...
