Welcome to the Colors 3D gallery! Where you can find: Traced/poorly drawn Pokemon, animals/Pokemon covered in obscenely large amounts of hair, with black shading, too many sparkles in the eyes like they have cancer or something, stick figures, friend codes, unnecessary human body parts (if you know what I mean), 10 year olds looking for dates, and stupid stories. Welcome to the Colors 3D gallery! Where you can find: Traced/poorly drawn Pokemon, animals/Pokemon covered in obscenely large amounts of hair, with black shading, too many sparkles in the eyes like they have cancer or something, stick figures, friend codes, unnecessary human body parts (if you know what I mean), 10 year olds looking for dates, and stupid stories. Did I miss anything?

I have C3D, and I've seen this before (in iamsuperhappy's gallery, if I'm not mistaken). This is pretty accurate.

 

Half the stuff I see there is traced and it frustrates me to see it get so much attention. One thing you missed, unless it's covered in stupid stories, is "PRESS PLAY LOL." Also double uploads all over the place, and tons of "check my gallery" and other such shameless plugs.

 

Other complaints I have about the layout include that, since the New Paintings section gets filled up so fast with all of the above, it's hard to get any attention without doing shameless plugs, which I've sworn not to do. Then, assuming something makes it to the Week's Best, it gets ridiculous amounts of likes. Seriously, I have a painting that has 74 likes, and the next highest amount is 6. I never knew that many people liked Problem Sleuth.

 

Also I dislike how the undo function breaks after a while, which I assume has something to do with the max file size for playback. All but two of my paintings have exceeded the playback limit.

 

There are good things to be said, though. The painting tools themselves are cool, and I love the idea of being able to see the painting being completed. It needs quite a bit of polishing, however, and the 3DS needs a lot of the functions of the site (seriously, no search or flag?). A lot of problems would be solved by a better userbase, but there's nothing that can be done about that.

(I am iamsuperhappy, silly.) Yep. The site lacks a whole lot of things. Like art genres, where you can post your art in sections relating to the picture, or a search feature on 3DS, or a flag button. That place'd be a million times better.
