Comet Tail 808 July 6, 2012 Share July 6, 2012 Ahck. I made this, and at first I thought; "I'll level out the mane!" and I thought it looked infinityx better, but now I can't decide! I think I've been looking at them too long. Which do y'all think looks better? Look at the mane. 1. 2. Lol, sorry. I'm having a little bit of a Twilight moment, I guess, freaking out over this small detail. It's just bothering me like crazy though. I mean, for awhile I was gonna say; "Sorry I subjected your eyes to such horror; here's the correction", but since then the first one has grown on me 1 I'm a student Royal Astrophysicist that loves kindness, rationality, curiosity, open-mindedness and deep intellectual discussions! Hazardus_Havard. 479 July 6, 2012 Share July 6, 2012 The second one in my opinion looks better. The first looks as it it is trying to retain the original bounce of previous hair, while the second comes down smoother and it's simpler to draw. Oh, you should think about making the inside of the hair a darker tone of the original hair, as well as the legs that are seen further away from the figure; it could give the image a stronger look. 1 Practice makes perfect; but if nobody's perfect, why practice? http://hazardus-havard.deviantart.com/ Art http://www.fimfiction.net/story/70801/an-alien-walks-amongst-us Story

Actually I am ^ ^ ; It's trying to keep Pinkie her bouncy, energetic, "poofy" self, but with straight hair. The point was to keep it from looking like Pinkamania As for the hair, I wanted to avoid going darker since Pinkamania is darker and less colorful. But that is great advice for the legs. And maybe the contrast will make her non-shaded hair seem brighter... Filly Pinkie Pie 208 July 7, 2012 Share July 7, 2012 Second straight mane Pinks. Thanks PixiGlow for my PINKTASTIC SIG!!! Cute Avatar made by Dragonshy! Though you are shy and sweet, and I bake every treat, everyone has differences, even best friends, but I can't see the differences in you and me, my friend (formerly Pinkie Pie Rocks) You're only one good thing, and dreams are never worth a thing, my Fluttershy. ~Pinkie Pie

Same story, except in this case "Second one" refers to your second paragraph http://eagle1divisio...t.com/#/d56a3hd The legs look much better now, but the gradient applied as shade for the hair looks a bit strange. Usually in a cartoon sense you'd apply the darker tones fully to an area to play out how certain areas are in the forefront or backing of an image and to display the locations of places to your subjected figures. I know. It just looked weird that her mane should be shaded but not her back, which is touching that very same mane. Plus the gradient kinda adds depth.
