Master Chief 183 July 19, 2012 Share July 19, 2012 Yeah, people have told me about creating custom themes on the 360, but I can't understand what they're saying and I can't understand the videos because I am SUPER stupid with this sort of thing. Can someone please give me super simple instructions where I don't have to install anything? 1 Signature By PixiGlow Check Out Ponies At Play! Kapi 215 July 19, 2012 Share July 19, 2012 (edited) As far as I can gather, all you need to do is get the background image onto the Xbox (Hint: Use a flash Drive), and then in the Picture Viewer, hover over the image, and press the Y button. For the best quality, you'll want the picture to be 1920x1080 (HD proportions). Edit: Making a custom theme requires you to download and use a program called Modio. HOWEVER, it may be considered hacking the console, and it could be banned from Live should Microsoft find out or somebody report you. I'd stick to just changing the background image. EDIT 2: Ok, better instructions. You'll want a Flash Drive of at least 512 MB. 1) Make sure the picture is JPG or JPEG, PNG doesn't seem to work. 2) Transfer the picture to your flash drive. 3) Safely eject the drive from the PC, and put it into your Xbox. 4) On your Xbox, press the Xbox button to open the Guide. 5) Move over to Media, then select Picture Viewer. 6) Open up the Portable Device, look for your picture and hover over it. 7) Press the Y button, and then confirm your choice. NewCalamity 3,454 July 19, 2012 Share July 19, 2012 This thread appears to be related to the My Little Pony franchise and/or the Bronydom in general. Thus, it has been sentenced to Sugarcube Corner. Kapi 215 July 22, 2012 Share July 22, 2012 Sorry for not replying yet, but you're welcome! I'd like to figure out how many pixels the bottom portion of the screen takes up, so that you can bump the background up to keep it from being masked. Also, I'd advise you to copy the background to the Xbox's hard drive. I don't know what happens after the memory stick is removed from the system, but it may blank the background if it can't find the image. I haven't tried that yet...
