Vinyl and Nightfall stepped out of their cottage and walked over to the camp, both with determined looks on their faces (idk maybe it's the music I'm listening to right now). "Wits, Vinyl Blade and Nightfall reporting in."

 

"I hope we haven't made a mistake, Blade. I just hope we see each other again..."

Nightfall kissed Blade lightly then stepped forward.

"Wits, we're early, but reporting in anyway. Now... what do you have for us?"

"I don't think we've made a mistake." She kissed him back. "When you get home, we'll have a nice, long life together. There's no 'if'. You are coming home."

"Maybe she's just the beginning... fate put us together for a reason... maybe it wasn't for just Violet, but for others..."

Nightfall smiled and blushed.

Ponies gathered round the table, some grim, some cheery, some half-mad (but other than that, Wits was looking pretty good).

 

"Ladies and gentlecolts," he said. "The time has come for us to kick our plan into high gear. Let me explain the basics to you."

 

"Alicorns have a magical spark in their mind that allows them to exert a ruling influence over others. It make them better rulers, figures of worship, and centers of powers: essentially, they are living leylines. Now, we are concerned with one part of the spark: that piece that lets them control other ponies and set up hegemonies. After all, despite Luna's claim to a republic, she holds the controlling influence over every pony she chooses. In addition, Celestia has managed to control her kingdom without any challenges until someone could match her spark. The conflict has given ponies like us more autonomy, and more control over our actions. We seek to mantain that forever. We are going to remove that spark."

Nightfall stood at attention when Wits began to speak.

"Remove the spark? How? I'm pretty sure the only way to remove an alicorns spark is to kill the alicorn itself, or at least banish it to a place far beyond the borders of it's land. Trust me, I would know..."

As he said the last sentence, he opened his wings a bit, and his horn glowed a bit.

"That would be much harder than you think... we would need Twilight first, and that requires going to Canterlot. I'm in for that part."

No, I think we should leave off her for a while, at least until we have two other elements. I say we first strike for Prance, to capture or maek a deal with Rarity," Wits said, pointing on a map. "After all, why go to the center of punishment until its necessary?"

"When do we get out of this place? The only thing here that I really want is Blade."

"What is your major malfunction? I saved your life back on that train. I've taken you and your marefriend to a safe place. I'm working to create a better future for everypony. Quit assuming that you are more important than the whole of reality." Wits was a bit angry at this point.
