private SoL: Canterlot

Blossom Bloom sat at the table with Jaide. "I'll have a...fudge brownie a la mode please" she smiled at the waiter before turning her attention back to Jaide. "So...Anyone you're interested in?" Blossom giggled as she leaned in.

"Um.. I... I, uh... yes. Of- of course I would." Nightfall was turning red quickly. "Yes, of course I would. But I... I don't think I have anything fit for the occasion... I mean, I have money, but..." He looked down, feeling awkward and shy.

 

"Well... We have some tuxedos in the royal wardrobe. Maybe you would fit in one of those."

"Interested in someone?" Jaide replied as the waiter brought her banana cream pie. "Not that I know of. But I know that in Canterlot you can find anyone that makes your heart soar. You just have to wait," She took a few bites of the banana cream pie.

"Oh... of course. Yes... I might... I'll have to see later..."

I still can't believe she asked me to the GGG. I mean, going is nice, going with somepony else is better, but how many times are you going to get to go with a very pretty pony?

"Yes we will. So... Do you think I could meet you in the castle later today? I uh... I think there was something I needed to do at uh... that uh… place." She was hoping she could have a few hours to herself just to walk around, but she didn't want to seem rude.

Nightfall heard this and laughed a bit.

"You know, I do seem kinda shy and all, but really, you can just tell me you want to be alone for a bit... If that's what you wanted..." He never looked at Vinyl while saying this, but had a small smile on his face.

He then looked Vinyl right in her eyes. "I guess I'll see you later..."

"Bye..." Nightfall said softly. He got up and walked back to the castle. He wanted to rest.... he was a bit tired.

When Tune Twist got home, he was exhausted. He had taken Blossom and Jaide so many places all over Canterlot and he had to make the long trip back home. He had already eaten dinner, so he greeted and talked to his family for a bit then went up to his room, where he threw himself onto his bed and thought about the day.

 

((Ok, I kinda lied about the whole going to sleep thing earlier, but I am typing this from my phone in my bed, so it was sorta true.))

Jaide bit into her pie again. "I think he said he was from Canterlot. I don't really remember," Jaide replied in between bites. "I could would ask him but he's at home and I don't know where that is," she added.

 

"I think he is" she said as she took another bite of her brownie. "Maybe we should go find him!" she said excitedly

Vinyl started walking around Canterlot, it had been a while since she had gone for a stroll. She passed by most of the shops, just glancing in the window, but she stopped at one and went inside. It was something that caught her eye, a matching set of golden balisongs. She thought that they were two of the most amazing things she had seen and she had to have them. She walked in calmly and asked for the price. "Those? That'll be 500 bits," was the response.

"Done," she said as she placed a bag on the counter. She left the shop with a fancy mahogany box with velvet lining and the balisongs inside.

"Hey you're right!" she said happily as her wings stretched out. She began to hover along with her "Whoever spots his house first, wins!" she laughed as she rose higher into the air.

Tune Twist got up out of his bed and stepped onto his balcony. He thought about all the things that happened today, and he remembered that the Grand Galloping Gala was coming up. He always went, but never with anyone. He hoped he could find somepony to go with this year, anypony to go with so he wouldn't look like a fool.

Jaide looked up as Blossom Bloom went up higher and higher. "Oh no you don't," she muttered. She went up higher than Blossom Bloom and then took off without warning. She turned on a small light on her saddle pack so she looked like a shooting star from the ground.

Blossom Bloom watched as Jaide shot off into the air and looked like a shooting star. "Whoa, cool!" she said as she blasted off into the night sky. She flew quickly around Canterlot, looking everywhere thoroughly, leaving no stone unturned. It was even more of a challenge since it was dark and it was a little hard to see.

Wits End jolted awake, and looked around. He was inside his favorite diner, surrounded by mostly eaten sugary snacks and books. It was brightly lit, but he had woken up in the afternoon, largely because he was surrounded by monstrous piles of books that left him well shaded. No wonder he had woken up so late. So late....

 

OH CRAP! He suddenly realized what had happened. The test, the test! He had stayed up all night, chowing on sugar and reading endless books on concepts that would bend your concepts of space and time so heavily it would leave you confused for two lifetimes. Ah, metamagic, the sweet science of the gods. Literally, as Celestia pushed funding heavily for the departments, interested in what might turn up.

 

But he was just a student. A student late for a test, and frantically dashing across Equestria, hoping to get to a classroom halfway across Canterlot to save his grade from absolute destruction. Oh well. Just another day in his life.

Vinyl looked up and saw what appeared to be a shooting star, but then she recognized it as the pony she had met the day before. She started walking in the direction of the castle. The streets were too dark for an ordinary mare to be out, but she wasn't an ordinary mare.

Wits, suddenly realizing it was not time for his test, and in fact too dark for him to see, immediately began crashing over everything in lack of sight. "Celestia. Moon. It." He said as he kept smacking against every surface imaginable to ponies. He came to crashing halt in a cart of onions.

 

"Oh, horsefeathers," he said as he began to pick himself up.

Blossom Bloom heard a crash and quickly slowed down. She looked down at the ground to see somepony in a crumpled heap covered in onions. She flew down next to the pony "Oh are you alright?!" she gasped as she helped the pony up.

"Oh my gosh! Flying at high speeds feels great! All this fresh air and free-" BAM! Jaide hit a wall with a great force that made her faint. She came tumbling down and fell on the ground with a loud THUD! She was knocked out cold and couldn't move.
