“Heya, Phil!”

“O-uh, Esquire?”

“Yeah, that’s me. Thought you would’ve known that I’m Esquire by know.” he smirks. “I am your brother after all!”

“Eh, forget about it. Just cause I said your name dosen’t mean I didn’t know who you were.”

“Whatever, Phil.”

“Hey, I’m gonna run over to a store, kay?”

“Yeah, sure, Esquire.”

“Tell the king I said thaaat!” He says running out the gate.

Little did I know, that would be the last time I had with my brother. Nothing could’ve prepared me for what was going to happen. I might’ve thought of the possibility sub consciously, but I never thought it would really happen.

—Ho He Dapilin Dee’, Chapter 1—

Esquire’s gonna be gone for a while, I guess. So I wonder what I should do..Maybe I should take a nap, yeah, that sounds good.

I wander through the cobblestone castle. I’ve never gotten used to the layout of it. I’ve lived here for 9 years, and still, I never got used to it. Oh well, I think to myself with a yawn.. I fumble through the castle until I find the room me and Esquire share. I collaspe onto my bed. I just woke up a few hours ago, and I’m already tired…Yawn…….

“Esquire?”

“Phil…Listen to me…”

I rub my eyes as I try to process what’s happening. I’m…floating? For some reason I don’t question it. I listen to my brother speaking to me.

“Something’s going to happen..”

I yawn and rub my eyes again. I’m in my pajamas, apparently. We’re in some sort of..green void.

“And what’s that?” I ask.

“I’m going to..”

My vision gets blurry. Esquire’s voice is nothing more than a rumble.

I wake up in my bed.(music ends here.)

“Phil, come quick!” The king is at the foot of my bed.

I rub my eyes, realizing how tired I am.

“There’s been a murder! Esquire’s been murdered!” He yells. “Come quick!” (

)

“WHAT?!” I shout. “N-no way!”

“JUST COME, PHIL!” the King yells running to the court yard. I follow in pursuit.

What the hell is going on?!

I stumble out unto the courtyard. Unprepared for what I saw, I fell down the stairs, down the large hill, I fainted.

“Phil…” I hear vaguely. Slowly, the king comes into view in front of me. He’s blurry, though.

“Phil. Esquire gave this to me right before he died. It looks like he was still writing it…I’ll leave you to read it..” He says. He hands me a letter He disappears out of my eyesight. I hear his footsteps out of the door.

I rub my head. It really hurts. I feel all the way down to the town. Off the steep hill where the castle is at. I blink several times to focus my vision on the letter.

“Dear, Phil

Phil, as the only family member you’ve had, and you being the only one I’ve had. I have a very important request to you.

I feel bad for not telling you about this. But Phil, I am what was known as jewel holder.

It’s been passed on in our family for generations.

Perhaps I should go into detail about this jewels. They are called the calamity jewels. Whoever has all 6 has the ability to control anything. With these calamity jewels in hand, an evil spirit could easily destroy anything, putting anyone who disagrees in eternal torment.

I’m running out of time..Phil, go now, protect the jewels do it for”

That’s the end.

I get out of my bed.

I walk to the weaponry.

I pick up my sword.

And I walk out.

Though it's a particularly cliche base plot, I assure you, it's gets much better later on. Constructive criticism is welcome considering I'm still writing the later chapters.

Objection! Hold it! Take that! Gotcha! Eureka!

I like video games and anime.
