OptimisticNeighsayer 478 March 1, 2014 Share March 1, 2014 Since when was Winnie the Pooh "dark"? Like MLP:FiM, it's got dark moments, but it's overall not a dark show. (Unless you're talking about some new incarnation I know nothing about.) Hablo español--Je parle français--日本語を話す--我说中文--...and sarcasm (yeah right!) I compose music. Wind Chaser 4,768 March 2, 2014 Share March 2, 2014 Pinkie is as Pinkie does. The only similarities I see between Winnie the Pooh and MLP are in the strong characterization that they share in common. In fact, when I started watching MLP, it reminded me a bit of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. There are quite a few mashup videos on YouTube that do similar by the two shows. However, the similarities end as MLP adds world-building, bonuses for the periphery audiences (more than WtP does, not that they're devoid of it), serious adventure storylines, and characters with adult responsibilities. WtP is just a feel-good series with fun characters, a down-to-earth setting and storylines, a welcome slower pace than most of its competition, and my main draw to ABC when I was a young colt.
NomDeSpite 452 March 2, 2014 Share March 2, 2014 OP's post made me laugh because of how random it was. Would it be better if Pinkie Pie permanently stayed as Pinkamena bringing a more darker mood on the show. No it wouldn't. If I wanted a cartoon with a dark mood, I'd watch Invader Zim. Or Vampire Hunter D. On 4/12/2014 at 0:00 AM, Miaq_The_Truthful said: This is the internet, not reality.
