MVC NVMXD JVRXD 2,406 August 13, 2012 Share August 13, 2012 I think feld0 was considering making this, or something. I'm not sure if IPS has an official app for their software, because if not, it will be harder. :/ I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS On 4/28/2013 at 8:13 PM, gooM said: Djenty...man you are crazy, but an awesome sort of crazy
Azura 1,107 August 13, 2012 Share August 13, 2012 Hey I just met you, and this is crazy, so make an app, and tell me maybe! Now to be serious, I think a lot of ponies have thought of that idea but nopony knows how or is too lazy to make one. Either way it won't be coming out any time soon. 1 My Signature Shop!-=-=-=-=-Art Collection!-=-=-=-=-A Signature Tutorial! Also known as "Cloud Chaser". My Ponysona, Azura. Avatar & Signature by me. Evilshy 5,090 August 14, 2012 Share August 14, 2012 There's an IPS app, but from what I've been told, it's basically the same as the mobile site, so I've never bothered. Signature now 99% less edgy!
Zoop 8,384 August 16, 2012 Share August 16, 2012 Creating a site specific app would require resources beyond what we have available. As stated, there is a general purpose Invision Power Board app, however it costs $1.99 and has pretty miserable reviews.
Gone Airbourne 21,977 August 16, 2012 Share August 16, 2012 Well what I have done is gone on the safari browser on my iPod & bookmarked the mlpforums mobile site as "app"! It is great to use when you can't acces your desktop/laptop. I suggest you bookmarking the mlpforums mobile site to your device!

3005 332 August 16, 2012 Share August 16, 2012 The mobile version is a stellar alternative to the full site when posting on a smaller device. It's lightweight, simple, and much roomier. It's built for devices in that vein, so while an official app may not be on its way, if you're experiencing trouble when accessing MLPF on the go, the mobile version is definitely the route to take. Founder Twilight Sparkle ✨ 8,529 August 16, 2012 Founder Share August 16, 2012 There's an IPS app, but from what I've been told, it's basically the same as the mobile site, so I've never bothered. That was the old IPS app. The new one is a native app that honestly looks quite beautiful. Creating a site specific app would require resources beyond what we have available. As stated, there is a general purpose Invision Power Board app, however it costs $1.99 and has pretty miserable reviews. I bet you every single one of the reviews that cited it as broken was written by someone trying to use the app to access a pre-3.3 IPB site (there are way more of them out there than there should be - fortunately, MLP Forums is always on the latest release). They claim it simply doesn't work, and there's absolutely no reason it will "simply not work" for a compatible IP.Board site. The server-side API necessary for the app to function was introduced in IPB 3.3, and it only makes sense that it will not be able to recognize any boards running an earlier version. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png I'm quite sure you can trust it. As for the OP's suggestion of getting a dedicated MLP Forums mobile app made, it's something that has been brought up a few times before. I have every intention in the world of making it happen someday, but I'm waiting for IPS to begin offering white-label apps. There's no telling when that will happen. Other options exist as well, but they are much more expensive than what IPS's official white-label solution will likely cost. Unfortunately, MLP Forums isn't nearly profitable enough to make them attractive solutions. Blitz 127 October 20, 2012 Share October 20, 2012 I know there's that IPS app but I think you guys should make a special app for the MLP Forum itself. I would TOTALLY buy that and use it all the time! Artist Current Project: The Seal of Tartarus: Audioplay, Animation, Comic
