ooc Equestria Divided (Grimdark)

Now, now I want everyone to know that each of the factions are about evenly matched... meaning it is unlikely for any of the Houses (or the Cult) to take out one another. How my moderators will show this balance of forces I will leave up to them. Of doesn't course that don't mean a lot of damage can't be done.

 

Also, remember this is Applejack we are taking about... if any mare can setup a strong defense and offense it is this one. Do now underestimate the abilities and the leaders of the six main factions. Honestly that is why I played Silver being so surprised and even disappointed that Twilight Sparkle of all ponies would underestimate the Cult of Laughter (though not Trixie, she always was full of herself).

That and the magical force field surrounding not letting anypony that isn't a unicorn in. I'm starting to think people are forgetting that.

But does said force field block physical objects? Methinks that with sufficient artillery and ammunition Canterlot could be potentially leveled with enough time, assuming of course the force field doesn't block physical objects.

 

Also, how is said force field powered? Is Shining Armour powering it from Canterlot Palace?

Nice, reminds me a bit of Warhammer 40k what with all the gold and brass and the Latin across the top of the throne.

But does said force field block physical objects? Methinks that with sufficient artillery and ammunition Canterlot could be potentially leveled with enough time, assuming of course the force field doesn't block physical objects.

 

Also, how is said force field powered? Is Shining Armour powering it from Canterlot Palace?

That's who I'm trying to meet? Eesh.

I dont think assaultig a town fill of walking magical artilleries guarded by magical shield is a good idea. I mean, how much times a canon fires a minute? How much spells unicorn trained for this can dish out a second?

Er, i would think one could simple enchant the barier to NOT let things in, but LET things get out. So no, they wouldnt have had to. It's magic, it's flexibale like that. It's not a tehnology which has limits. it's... magic!

Yes i saw it. And read it. So the Legion keep up the shield. Good to know. I had forgotten about the vangaurd. I might  use them as NPCs since there are only 10 of them.

Well, a 20-pounder parrot gun can fire around 6-8 times a minute as a muzzle loading weapon, and considering my team alone has 5 of them that's at least thirty explosive rounds fired per minutes. Of course our tech isn't quite that high so I suppose we could cut it down to say, 4 shots a minute?

For humans. Which have hands. For earth ponies without anything exept their hooves and mouths? I would say it takes much, much longer to charge. Powder, ball, ignition. All done in a primitiwe awy too...

 

 

Also does anyone knows any gotchic style artist which does commisions? I kind of want to have art of Spell and Lightning for the RP too now.

But if you think about it, since they're ponies won't their methods of loading cannons be optimised for hooves and mouths? With two hooves and your mouth you can clean the cannon, rip open a powder packet, pour in the powder , load the gun and light it. To be honest I'm not an expert on cannon operation but I reckon that even assuming the cannons aren't optimised for pony use you can manage at least 2 or 3 rounds a minute.

Also guys, i was thinking for the unicorn vanguard in Moon and Star, that they would all have code names corresponding to the Zodiac. Like one would be named Capricorn, another Leo, ect ect. But there would be 12 of them instead of 10 though. Hopefully you are OK with that discorded since you created the faction list.

That and the fact that the door only has a lock on one side. You how I kept mentioning that the ponies would keep on locking the door behind them everytime they left the room? Yeah, it only locks from the outside.

Not only would they be able to use powerful spells like that i'm planning on each one being specialized in ...something. Some kind of magic. They are like the super elite black ops of Moon and Star.
