private Life in Canterlot

Cream Tea groaned. It was never this busy, not even in the weekend. She sighed and levitated a glass of lemonade over to Claudia's table.

"When can I take a break?" She moaned to her Aunt

"Half an hour. Just talk to the ponies if none of them order anything." Her Aunt replied

"But that's IT. I don't want to talk to them."

"Just do it."

Cream Tea trotted back into the crowded room, scowling. She sat down on an empty table, with a look that said 'DO NOT DISTURB'.

Spring Breeze had been waiting for the waitress to serve the lemonade, so she could find the time to tell Spring what way to go.

Now the waitress was sitting at a table, looking very annoyed.

Spring Breeze thought it best to make some small talk first, because she was afraid the waitress would get dangerous if another question was asked.

She walked up to her. "Rough day, is it?"

"Tell me about it..." She muttered.

"So, what is it you want, lemonade, cola, coffee, tea?" She asked, thinking that Spring Breeze was going to order something. She sighed and got up, ready to trot in and out of the kitchen. Again.

"I hate my job..." She muttered under her breath, so that her aunt didn't hear. She already thought that Cream Tea was an ungrateful little brat, anyway."

Shooting Star nodded to what Iron Bass said, but he couldn't stop thinking about the waitress that had served him the bottle of water. Her expression was awful, and Star felt guilty. I guess I was way too rude... He thought. "Excuse me, Iron... I'll be right back." As Star stood up and headed towards the table where the waitress was sitten, speaking to the other mare that had entered the cafe a while ago. "Hey, um... I wanted to apologise for the way I behaved a while ago... I was very rude, and you didn't deserved that." He said to the pale unicorn waitress, as he lowered his head.

Before Spring Breeze could ask anything, the waitress seemed to get up and had almost left te table, when Shooting Star, as she'd heard Iron Bass call him, approached the table. Spring had already given up hope to ask him for directions, he seemed to be just as new here as she was.

While she listened to him appologize to the waitress, she nervously waited for her reaction. "I might as well have asked for a muffin. I could have eaten five of them by now," she thought. "I hope she forgives him, though, he seems nice enough."

She felt a bit awkward, being in the middle of all this. She felt like she was in everyones way. "Welcome to Canterlot."

Cream Tea sighed and looked him in the eyes.

"No, it should be me who is apologizing. I'm sorry for the way I reacted, or rather, over reacted." She said. "It's just..." She looked around at the almost full cafe, with an expression of stress on her face. She fell back on the chair that she was sitting on ealier.

"Stress. Look how many ponies there are in here..." She moaned exasperatedly.

"I'm sorry I took it out on you. Well, everypony, but mainly you."

Star thought for a moment, looking around the crowded cafe. "Hm... Well, if you don't mind, I can help you serving the tables. I work at a convenience store at Ponyville, the town that I came from, so I guess I have some kind of experience in dealing with costumers." He smiled warmly, hoping for the pale unicorn mare to accept his help so he could redeem himself.

"Oh, but before anything..." Star turned over to the white pegasus mare that was speaking to the waitress before him. "Do you need any help? You look a tad nervous."

"Well, I just followed you to ask some directions. Do you know how to get to Cloudy Corner?"

The tension had been getting to her and suddenly it all came out: "I feel like SUCH an outsider here! Everyones dressed so fancy and I don't know how to talk to them... I didn't even wanted to come, my mother made me. I didn't know what to do with myself, you know, after I finished school. She wanted me to go to Canterlot to figure things out. But all this scares me."

When she finished, she suddenly realized she'd snapped, and felt very stupid. Why did she just blab that all out to strange ponies? She was sure they thought her not only weird, but whining, too. They seemed like nice ponies, and since she was probably staying for a while, she didn't want them to dislike her. She tried to grin. "I'm sorry. It's nice weather, isn't it?"

Looking at the waitress, she said: "Sorry to have bothered you, it seems you have a lot on your plate."

Pale let out a breath. She left her money on the table, plus a tip for Cream, whom she gave a small smile to when she caught her eye. She felt somepony looking at her and looked up, seeing Iron smiling at her. She half smiled back. "I think I shall depart soon...I must get back to the library and I'm not too comfortable in large crowds.." She trailed off, picking up her saddlebag with her magic. She put her glasses back on and gave Iron an apologetic look, and bowed slightly. "I am sorry. Perhaps we'll meet again in the future." She glanced at the other ponies, then stood up, her smiling fading away.

Stinger entered the cafe.

"Hide me!!!" He exclamated, gasping and looking at everypony around, surprised by the amount of ponies in the cafe.

"I think I need a glass of water... Ugh!" Stinger layed down to his knees, because he was running away from a crowd of fans with his cello on his back for some time.

Stinger crawled up to the stand and sat down in the nearest stool. He placed the heavy cello at his side.

"A glass of water, madame." He asked to the maid.

Stinger tried to take his silver mane of his left eye, so he could take a better look at what was happening around there, but it went back to it's original form.

(OOC: When I typed maid, I am referring to Hufflepuff's character(Cream Tea, I belive?))

Pale turned to him, blinking in surprise. "I-..you-" She stammered awkwardly. She shook her head to clear it and half coughed half laughed nervously. "That'd be splendid. It's a divine library." She smiled and tightened her saddlebags on her back. "I have a few books to return to the shelves, I could show you the sections while I'm doing that."

"Yes, that would be wonderful if you could help, please." Cream Tea replied to Shooting Star, before turning to the pony with a cello. She felt less stressed than before, knowing that somepony was helping her.

"Water, was it?" She asked, before trotting off to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Stinger was still gasping as he looked throughout the window.

He started looking for his wallet.

"Hah!" He said in a relative loud tone of voice, in which he usually talks.

Stinger saw that the cafe wans't very merry, which was annoying him. He actually though in playing his cello to cheer things up, but he declined his brain's opinion, because in Canterlot, ponies are not used to hear hayvee metal (OOC: Yes, I know that was weak.) played from cellos.

"Oki-doki-loki! You can count on me!" He smiled. Shooting Star looked around the place once more. It seemed to be getting less crowded, at last. But that didn't mean that he would give up helping the nice unicorn mare. Alright Star... It's time to show what you can do! Go for it and act like a true gentlecolt! as he erected his neck and raised his snout, appearing to have went into a trance. He turned over to the white pegasus mare that was beside him, talking to the other mare. He cleaned his throat "Very wonderful day, my gorgeous madam. Would we receive thy permission to question if thou wish for one consumable of this very cafe?" Unfortunately, he hadn't paid attention to what the same mare had just said.

Pale smiled and dipped her head. She trotted out of the cafe and walked casually through the Canterlot streets, pointing out buildings to Iron. "Canterlot has a lovely museum. There's quite a few interesting things in it." She said, looking over at it. "The library is about a block down from it."

Pale giggled. "Anything I can get my hooves on. I plan to devour the entire library, book by book." She smirked and stopped at the stone staircase leading to the library. "I enjoy novels, though I love history as well. I love reading about the history of Canterlot. The Princesses sure have been through a lot." She started going up the steps, smiling and saying quiet hello's to ponies she worked with, and other she'd helped.

Spring stared at the table, confused. Had the pony even heard what she said?

She wasn't even sure what of all that was directed at her. Those were some pompous words... even for someone in Canterlot.

Spring Breeze tried to smile, but then stared at the table again, unsure what to do.

Shooting Star noticed the white pegasus' nervous looks. He kept staring at her for a moment, trying so hard to maintain his posture. C'mon Star, you're loosing her! he thought, as he cleaned his throat once again. "May we ask thy permission to question if thou wishes for any nature of assistance?" He didn't even knew some of the words he spoke, but he still kept a straight, yet nervous face.

As Cream Tea came back in from the kitchen with Splinters' glass of water, she noticed how Shooting Star was asking Spring Breeze if she wanted anything. Cream Tea gave Splinter the glass of water, and tried not to laugh.

"I hope you realize that only Princess Luna, who has been gone for, what, 1000 years speaks like that!" Cream Tea giggled.

(OOC: FFS IT'S STINGER NOT SPLINTER OR WTF YOU WERE TYPING THERE WHAT THE @£#! IS WRONG WITH YOU???? Just kidding but... Seriously?)

Stinger drank the water in a single gulp, which caused a little pain spike in his vochal cords.

"Mhm~! Now that's some good quality water! How much for it, ma'am?" Stinger asked the maid, with all his respect, in a kind of rusty voice.

Stinger tried to understand what was going on around there. He never saw so many ponies in that cafe.

(Calm down please. I'm on my phone, which is a huge pain in the ass at the best of times. Bucking auto-correct.)

"That will be 4 bits please." Cream Tea replied, after she had finished laughing.

"Blueberry muffin?" She asked, levitating the tray towards Stinger.

Star sighed, completely losing his posture and lowering his head. "I don't know how to do this... I don't know how to act like a gentlecolt." He giggled at his own failure, accepting the fact. "Anyway... Would you still like something to drink or eat, miss? Or maybe I can help with something else?" He asked the white pegasus, still trying to be as friendly as possible.

//Settle down, people.//

Pale sent the other ponies off and turned to him. "We have a whole section of Fantasy. I'm pretty sure the whole series is in there." She smiled and opened the doors with her magic, revealing the giant, sprawling library. Pale looked around and started heading to the right. "Let's go towards the East Wing. Fantasy is over there, I need to return a book in that general direction anyway."

Spring Breeze couldn't help giggling like a child. He was actually kind of funny.

She surpressed that feeling to galop away she always has when somepony wants to talk to her.

"Well, actually, I haven't eaten much since I embarked on this trip... so I guess that would be nice. I just wanted to know the way to Cloudy Corner though, since I'm here to visit my sister. She's going to help me figure my life out." She smiled, trying not to sound stupid.

"My name is Spring Breeze, by the way."

"I'm Shooting Star! Nice to meet'cha!" He smiled, now way more relaxed than before. "I'm so sorry, but I'm afraid I can't help ya much with directions... I'm not actually from Canterlot, as you may have noticed." He began. "I mean, I was born here, but I moved away when I was still very young, so I don't remember the city at all... I live in Ponyville!" He beamed once again, staring blankly at Spring Breeze after she asked for something to eat. "Uh... Just one second, please." Star slid over to the unicorn waitress, whispering to her. "She asked for something to eat, what do I do now!?... Oh, and by the way, what's your name?"
